>>8501327Once they mark an item as shipped they don't claim any responsibility for it and it's your fault. If they decide they want to change shipping methods, that's on you as well, otherwise they'll scrap your order and delete your account (all other retailers will eat the cost of something like that if it's their fault.) Also, if there's something wrong with an order, like they oversold a preorder, they're content to just keep your money and never do anything about it unless you go and prod their customer service. And god help you if you have to do that because their customer service is unresponsive and will just terminate your support ticket in the middle of conversations to force you to try again.
AmiAmi also doesn't do returns so if something is damaged or has a QC issue - and you can guarantee that Takara's MPs will have both - then you're shit out of luck.
As for pricing, AmiAmi charges you for shipping after the fact for a reason: their shipping prices are higher than almost anywhere else. The nasty secret of AmiAmi is that they maintain their reputation of having low prices up front while inflating the shipping charges that you have to agree to pay after checking out. Priced out, buying from AmiAmi or BBTS totals up to roughly the same shipped, with American sales tax being the only difference.
The absolute best deal you can get is going through a Chinese seller, like someone on ebay or Alibaba. Prices are lower, you avoid tax, and f something goes wrong Paypal will always refund you. Plus I've found that Chinese sellers are much more pleasant to deal with if there's a problem.
>>8501333The times I've dealt with AmiAmi were the worst experience of any actual retailer I've ever bought from. I spent over 1000 dollars total and neither time did I get the item I paid for. The items were never even shipped out. The first time I was able to get a refund but the second time I had to file a dispute with Paypal and get my money back that way.
