I was just reminded that I have the old Alien Queen Hive playset from Kenner in my closet that I still haven't opened. The pandemic has meant that haven't had a chance to go out and buy some cheap slime to replace the original, and it's not something I feel like buying online.

Moss Man was choice to put in the slime pit but I'd argue that Grizzlor would be worse.

It seems like slime has made a bit of a comeback but not in this fashion. Ready 2 Robot and the one Mega line of beasts used slime as part of their packaging but it didn't seem to have any play value.

YCDTOT never really did anything for me, but the commercial for that toy with Venom catching Spider-Man and sliming him was it. There's some power dynamics at play I'm telling you. Venom has him at his mercy. The slime stands-in for his will, which completely overrides that of Spider-Man's.
I think it's because as a virgin, you can't relate to actual sex, but you can relate to the previous experiences with slime.

Hasbro had literal pedophiles working on MLP not too long ago, so you're completely in the right to think that's the case. That being said I do believe there is a toyetic quality to this stuff. But given how weird toys have been getting lately I can see the logic at play here. Especially in the last few years, with toys that literally shit themselves and what not. We live in cursed times.
