>>8507787>Are those buildable model ones good for like playing with or are they more intended to just pose?More on the pose side than playable. They're made of model plastic and a bit hollow. So they're most likely not gonna survive a shelf dive, let alone rough kid play. That said, they're very poseable and well sculpted. They're a bit larger than 1/12. Around 7-8" range. The big appeal for me is the fact that you can paint them to make your own OC DONUT STEEL Dragonball characters. Each kit often comes with extra parts for some customizing.
You'll need to know some basic model making and have some sprue nippers at least. Glue is not necessary, but recommended. If you have a Hobby Lobby nearby, I suggest picking up the Ultra Instinct Goku kit. With the 40% off coupon it's around $18. A pair of nippers and glue will bring your total up to $30 total. The kit is very easy to assemble and the instructions are in English. It'll take an afternoon to build. More if you want to get fancy with it. (I find the process of building a model extremely relaxing.)
Hope that helps.
