I recently picked up the new TESB Vader. For the most part it's more or less the same as the last one, but that's not an issue given how good the last one was. It's a good figure. Those Vaders are two of the finest things Hasbro have done with TBS.

I know the sculpts are actually unique; the head is completely different, the lower arms are different, and there's a new butterfly joint, but the question is how appreciable these differences are for most people. Because I'm a Vaderfag it was enough for me to double dip, but for a lot of people if you have one you're probably justified in skipping the other.

Hasbro really should re-do both IG-88 and IG-11 as deluxe figures with new sculpts. The Figuarts has a really beautiful sculpt, and it's unacceptable that they have deluxe figures now n Black Series, but they keep pumping out the old IG-88 mold. I only collect 1/18 Star Wars at this point however, so I'm mostly indifferent to this.

That's a great collection anon, I wish I did something similar. I love how there's so many of the same exact figure and armor, but enough variation to make them all stand out a bit. Between McFarlane, DST, NECA, there are quite a few 7" scales going around that people may want to interact with these (vs Predators/Aliens may be a big one). I feel like there's definitely a market for 7" Star Wars figures.

At $50 I expected this to be a regret buy but it's bigger than I thought and makes for a great display riser. Not buying another of the same set to make a circle platform, but I do hope they continue the trend and make playsets that connect to each other. If the range is good then he could get some good jet pack poses, but the double knees on this one will trump, I bet. Well, they're changing the articulation scheme, right? The new Strom and Clonetroopers have single knees now, as do other newer figures, I think since the Knight of Ren. Idk if there's a better pic, but it looks like it'll be a single hinge and swivel. Jar Jar has double knees, so who knows.

I'd prefer double knees if given the choice, especially on someone like Boba who has a natural part of his costume that can hide it, but I won't complain much if they're single. The fact that the Mudtrooper is basically an undergrad-tier Storm Trooper whose uniform consists of a basic Imperial uniform with minimal armor added for basic protection is awesome.
The modular helm, mask, and goggles combo that makes a pseudo-stormtrooper silhouette is just neat.
It's very WW1 in it's design and I dig the fuck out of it.

I only have the Boba Fett helmet and I love it. It's got great detail. I ended up taking out the hard hat style piece in it because my head is was too big for it and it also made it wobble around too much. I ended up lining the inside with some airsoft helmet pads and that made it fit much better and is nice and snug when I turn my head. I still want to swap the visor out with one made from the welding mask material that people on the RPF and 501st use for their Mandalorian helmets. But even if you just wanted it as a display piece, it's worth the money IMO since it's pretty accurate aside from the few mods they had to do to the side pieces for the battery compartment.
