So on the front page of Megalopolis toys it says: COVID-19 Notice: Shipping times may be subject to delay
They ain't fuckin' kidding
On September 17th, I bought studio Series Overload, Blitzwing, and Topspin from them. The site showed them as in stock. I thought that was a little surprising, them being in so early, but what the fuck I've had miracles happen with Agabyss and Target before.
I emailed them to ask, "Just to be sure, these are in stock, right?" No response. I should have taken that as a red flag.
I emailed them on Sept. 30. They said their carrier was limiting the amount of packages they could send out. But, "The great news is that these are in stock and your order is in the queue to be shipped."
Ten days later, 24 days total since my order, I emailed again. They said, "We are very sorry for the delays. The pandemic has presented numerous challenges. Despite the delays, we won't stop serving you our valued customer. The great news is that your order is in the queue to be shipped within the next 2-8 business days. Thank you for your continued patience."
I waited eight full business days. Emailed them again. said I wanted a shipping estimate or a refund today.
They sent me a FORM LETTER talking about how great their new system's totally gonna be if I can just be a little more patient!
I told them I am out of patience and I want a refund immediately. No response yet. They have 24 hours before I get my bank involved.
I am 90% sure they sold me preorders as in stock items and them blamed the mail for the delay. I'd had one good experience with them before, but I am absolutely going to treat them like radioactive waste from now on, and am warning everyone I can to not get fucked like I did.
