For adding further armor to a 1/100 gunpla, what thickness of Pla Plate would you use?

Im also looking to make some pistons for a conversion from cylindrical styrene, im thinking of picking up 4/5/6mm tubing, if im correct, that will all slip inside of each other to allow me to make the pistons right?

Lastly, scribing. Holy Shit i cannot figure this one out, ive got a standard scribing tool and a tamiya scriber 2 but even when using tape as a stencil i cannot get the lines staight - any tips on this?

When painting an entire inner frame, do you guys prime the entire thing and then paint the entire frame or do you just paint the exposed areas to stop any issues when putting the kits together?

biggest thing is you do NOT want to dig deep right off the bat. score lightly, make a little deeper each times. a lot easier to contorl ot when you arent putting down pressure, then once you got some halfway decent guidelines placed it becomes super easy to push down that pressure without screwing up

From a point of view of plastic injection, that's cheaper than making a custom mold for the extra parts in blue. The same mold is used 4 times in the same kit, if you did special molds for the Grey Q2 and the Blue Q2 so that they only included the used parts you'd need 3 different molds. Same applies to all the other ones with unused parts.

I have issues with stress marks when cutting with my clippers, I’m using like $10 ones from michaels, is it worth upgrading to a god hand or equivalent?

And when removing nub marks with an Xacto I almost always scratch up the part, how do I not do that?

The O is pretty much the same size as the Sazabi. Slightly shorter, but with a bit more bulk. Zeta and ZZ era villain MS get pretty fucking big, the Messala, Pallas Athene and especially Baund Doc are also huge.

Glad to share them. There were some models I wish I got better pictures of, but you're only given 10 minutes in the store. Even the simple kits look really sharp with a basic paint job and panel lining. The dioramas really bring the models to life, though, that GM sniper II caught my eye immediately.

So how frequently do new Real Grades tend to release? Is there any consistency to it or is it sporadic?
They're my favorite kits but the line is like 1/4 Seedshit and 1/2 kits that aren't recommended because of their age and the old pre-assembled frame. I'm gonna run out of RGs to build real quick.

Reason being it has a dense, layered inner frame, limb extension gimmicks, spring loaded claw gimmicks, a specialty base, and even effect parts. And basically no panel lines at all besides the belly and knees.

In my experience, styrene tubing is usually 1mm wall thickness, so 4 goes into 6, not 5. I use Evergreen which is in Imperial sizes tho.

I'm looking to paint my Gunpla, but im not quite sure where to start. I have some experience painting warhammer minis, so i assume everything transfers over. However, im not totally sure about this, and am especially concerned about supplies. Warhammer paints are too expensive for large things like gunpla, so i was planning on just buying some craft store acrylics and doing it the same way, with the same brushes. Should i just paint everything while it's still on the sprue? How about wash?
Are there any extra or different steps to take while painting?
Any recommended brands?

As someone who just started, I can't really help you much.

I have only experience with Vallejo Model Air (aside from Citadel), but they should be good for brush painting.

Based on my experience with airbrush, Painting while on the sprue is not really a good idea unless you plan to repaint again. But if you're handpainting, it shouldn't be THAT much of a problem, I've done that when painting stuff with Gundam Markers. No idea about washes though.

Everyone I've talked to recommends varnish, matt varnish gives a pretty crisp look without any of the reflections you often see in plastic, but if you want more of a shiny look (like a brand new ferrari) then...

And like with warhammer... thin your paints.

A lot more actually, you have to make the model account for being painted.

Mr. Color is generally the best but that's mostly airbrush use paint, handpainters in gundam plastic models in specific tend to prefer prefer vallejo.

Its an ok kit, obviously very sticker heavy. Now, if you like LBX, what you wanna get is the "Hyperfunction" kits. Those things have basically no stickers, great color separation, and even posable cloth capes.

Don't forget that as long as you aren't melting parts with acetone or other cuhraazy solvents, even the most poorly built kits can be fixed. Gouges can be filled, over sanded edges can be puttied back and sharpened. Just don't get too carried away with shit like battle damage like that guy who hammered nails into his kit. Not worth fixing that shit.

That makes more sense then but the likelyhood is still extremely low as far as I know.
There's a new wing kit out very soon but katoki and bandai sure as hell isn't going to let SRW and CG touch it in any shape or form and an RG doing something like that would also be really weird, a modern EW HG with the wings doesn't really exist so you should be hoping for that instead which has the biggest chance of having obscure recolor reprints.

You shouldn't be asking when but rather if they are going to print it in that color scheme at all AND if it turns out that I'm completely wrong in the end I'll eat my gunpla.

Monster hunter is really has nothing to do with hollywood thinking it can make money on the franchise and more to do with anderson wanting another franchise to make Mary Sue fanfiction starring his literal Waifu.
