It got worse with the Target exclusive GI Joe stuff. Sold out in seconds, all four items, and while that’s irritating, they were absolutely impossible to get in store, because unlike Hulk, they were stocked, but they were street dated. If you were unlucky, you’d find the one target near you that had some cobra troopers, you’d talk to an associate, they’d tell you they couldn’t sell them yet, and then some other asshole would find a different associate who would sell them and they’d buy the whole case. Prices for a single trooper shot up from $20 to over $100.
There was more GI Joe stuff announced at Pulsecon. Two figures that sold out in less than 45 seconds.
And now people are terrified Rogue and Gambit will be the same way, and Cyborg Spidey now too I guess. I think Storm and Thunderbird has a ton of stock produced because it’s part of the anniversary movie wave, which always has tons produced each year. Rogue and Gambit might be harder to find.
