The figures themselves vary. I can see the definite benefit of the joint extensions, but at the same time it makes the figure more floppy and unstable. I've already scratched some paint , obviously on that scarabite chest, so I'm now reevaluating my ideas about blank, mostly blank, and heavily painted pieces. I'm also seeing the real utility in having several duplicates. I have the full Hallo specter set and can get some real variety from it.
However, overall I am liking the figures and I'll probably buy some more. I'm looking forward to the KOTS drop tonight and continue to reconfigure things.
