I have ordered multiple times From Mandarake Nayuta during the pandemic, first time they are asking me this much, no way i'm paying thrice the price for 3 cheap items.

It's by volume with DHL Express. The bigger your package the more expensive it is. It's like, opposite of EMS where when you combine multiple items it saves on shipping, DHL charges more for the bigger box.

I know that, btw i overreacted, but they usually don't ask me more than 1500 yen even if i buy something worth 10000 yen.
On a second thougt the items , might be too big, i forgot to check the dimensions this time. And i assumed they are small and easy to ship.

This. Something you bought pushed you out of the small box tier and into the medium. Every time I get the medium boxes I get charged about this much, I ended up paying 5k DHL shipping for two Figmas. That ended my Mandarake buying for the time being.

its because you live in america. shipping is still cheap to first world countries. i ordered some figuarts from Nayuta last week and the shipping was inexpensive

That's cause Figuarts boxes are very small/slim. I did the same and I'm in the US, 3 SHFs cost me some paltry sum like 1200 yen or some shit to ship DHL.

This is the same anon from earlier btw, who tried ordering two (standard sized) Figmas and got kicked up a box tier into 5k shipping. I flew too close to the sun with that one.

Same thing happened with a small Banpresto figure. Was 2000 yen but shipping made it 6300. Not sure if I want it now honestly.

Not sure why, but I think maybe it has to do with the location you buy it from? Either way I refuse to believe they needed a bigger box for a figure that could be packaged in their smallest one.

Foolish of you to assume i live in the US. If that was the case, i'm guessing i would have to pay like 10000+ alone just for the shipping. I didn't even know DHL worked in the States. A truly worlwide shipping company.
