/toy/ loves to hate them but I liked getting the ones with the really cool art on the blister card, or of the characters I really like and hanging them on my wall MIP. I'm not even normally a MIP collector. I see them as like mini posters with a 3D element, a cool decoration.

I think the reaction figures are charming, but this Michael seems like a miss. I can forgive the sculpt not being screen accurate because the retro toys they're an homage to were seldom screen accurate, but 2 gripping hands? Why? It's odd to have his other hand sculpted like that unless you want him holding 2 weapons but I can't picture Michael duel wielding shit.

I have a bunch of them, i like them because its the only good 3.75 toyline besides spinmaster batman line. Vintage collection only releases a few figures a year so thats why i dont consider it a good line when you barely have any figures come out for it

There's really no reason to open them. The whole appeal is the packaging and the experience of having a unified aesthetic to all these franchises; and the feeling of what if all the toys you saw growing up belonged to some great singular line. but then you open it and its just a crappy toy not even as good as literal retro toys.

I like them, but I wish their sculpts had a little more personality like Amok Time's Monstarz line.

I get Super7 is trying to replicate kenner star wars style but it feels like they got it down to such a formula each figure lacks personality. Amok times still has the limited articulation and blister card, but their figures just kinda pop more.

The low detail style of the kenner stuff was more the sculpt not being replicated right in mass production or being unable to get crisp detail than them just sculpting them soft. The super7 stuff is clearly designed to look soft so it all feels too forced.

I like some of them, it's cool to get a 1:18 figure of some stuff that wouldn't get a release otherwise. I'd love to get an Ozzy Osbourne in their music line for example, it's not like anyone else will do an articulated1:18 ozzy figure.

I dislike most of them. The way they hit so many IPs instead of stuff it makes sense for makes them feel Funko Pop-y. That said, there's some good ones. I really like the My Pet Monster ones, the Universal Monsters are cute, and the Worst have great designs.

But then they split with Funko, and now their sculpts are better and they put effort into the cardbacks now. I just feel like reaction figures got way better when they weren't using Funko. The only thing that suffered was the price going up

they do mostly new stuff though. They redid some universal monsters, and michael myers and I think that's it right?

They're partly as much as they are because they shell out more for better art on the cardbacks and the figures are pretty limited compared to other bigger toylines, and the less they produce the more $$ each piece will cost

I got mine and left him in the package. I think I actually like the original one they did better, when they were partnered with funko. Just the sculpt I mean, not the packaging.
