>>8559377>that's still beautifulThanks anon! I clearly remember that summer when I made the sword over several days after watching Yaiba on TV.
I need to organize my house next month, so I guess I will take the chance to search for the sword and take some pics of the Dragon God version too.
>im also jealous that your country localized the manga even,Oh yeah, but it really took a long time for it to be localized, I was twenty-something then.
>meanwhile burgerland is stuck with 2 other yaibas...and Detective Jimmy...That's a real shame. The success of Detective Conan is a big part of the reason they decided to sell Yaiba in my country I guess. They published other Aoyama series like Kaito Kid too.
>best thing i could do was make and attach a cutout guard with cardboard to my own toy sword, stick a magnet behind it, and instead of orbs id use specifically-colored button pins (sans the pin) to emulate that slot-in feel. That's pretty much what my first version was but I had no magnets to use, that's really neat compared to my velcro solution.
>id even write the moonrunes on them. I did the same on my circles, tried to copy them on paper when the kanji appeared in the show, but now I know that the only one that actually looks close it the Fire one, hahaha.
It's a real shame they didn't release a role playing toy with lights and sounds, that would have been amazing. Didn't know they made finger puppets.
