Also just based on my personal observations as a medieval reenactor and history enthusiast: I just don't think kids nowadays are that into medieval stuff, I do living history events and knight fighting tournaments all over England and its mainly adults who are into this stuff, Kids aren't dressing up as knights and fighting each other like I used to with my brothers and friends, its sort of like how cowboys and Indians went out of fashion, and I theorize the lack of medieval interest extends to Lego.
