I'm sure it's something I'd get better at with practice, but after finishing the third version of my saber, I haven't needed to solder anything. It was frustrating because I'm very much a perfectionist, but found that the more I'd try to get something perfect, I'd just mess up what was soldered but ugly. Then I'd jump on YT and see just do it like it's the easiest thing in the world for them.
The one other thing I would share, and all cards on the table, Ultrasabers is the brand I like, but there are others like SaberForge, Vader's Vault, and more. IIRC they run a little more expensive, but if you're able to afford a Black Series replica, you should be able to get something similarly priced from Ultrasabers.
At the same time, if you are looking for a replica of a saber from the movies, Black Series is probably the way to go.
