Be yourself. No seriously. Also do it enough times to be consistent. Treat it as a hobby instead of a job so you'll get better consistency overall without hating yourself for not immediately getting anything in return.

No mumbling or long pauses. Know how to edit. Know what you’re talking about. Be thorough with a figure before you do anything on camera. Have a good camera and lighting. Don’t do dios for a background. Try to get figures in as early as you can.
The rest is up to you to sell yourself to the viewer. Some play heavy on skits or comedy edits, some play it straight to be informative. Do what you feel comfortable with, I guess.
Also be lucky.

Pretty much all reviewers are dishonnest because they get free stuff and don't want it to stop OR they don't want to admit a figure is complete shit simply because they dropped a decent amount of cash on it (that's even a problem with people here on the board...).

For reviews, I'd recommend doing stuff that's either super obscure or brand new. Basically stuff that won't already have 100 other video reviews of it already up.

Draw up at least a loose script, to avoid rambling, dead air, and to help make sure you cover all the points you want to talk about.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful suggestions really. This really is just me wanting to indulge in my favorite hobby, combined with some older figures I own not having the best reviews out there.
