>>8564703Rubber deteriorates pretty quickly compared to other materials, and it gets worse depending on the location. Rubber can also cause a number of issues (again, this can get much worse in areas with high heat and humidity), among them:
-Melt plastic that's in contact with it
-If its in contact with a painted surface for a prolonged period, the paint will stick to the rubber
-Paint will fall off, and from what I saw, most of Megatron's rubber has paint on it
-Rubber will eventually start to crack and break as time passes. People are already reporting issues with rubber from four years ago.
-Stretching and pulling rubber will weaken it even faster, and some parts were coming off in the video.
Note that there are different types of rubber, and some can last a fair good while, but I don't believe Hasbro will use a good one.
