Almost the best. 1000Toys and Sentinel are better, but also often more expensive. SHF have a far better range though and now they're starting to include more accessories.

But yeah, I'd buy a SHF over a Figma or anything American. Mezco might be the exception to that, but that varies depending on the actual figure and they tend to scale too big.

Except figma, figma and figuarts are pretty much on par as far as quality. Doesn't matter if they don't have characters you like

Except it does because you can't compare two different fucking toys of different characters. If they made the same character then maybe I'd take you seriously on anything you said was better on either one but without a direct competitive figure you can fuck off.

Not that anon but there have been a few times where both have made the same character. Specific examples coming to mind are:

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight (Figma) vs Ryuki (Figuarts)
Cardcaptor Sakura
Silver Crow
Code Geass (Technically Figma made Lelouch while Figuarts did Zero but you could compare their Lelouch head sculpts at least)
Bruce Lee
Avengers / Iron Man

There's probably some others I've missed but those are the ones I know off hand. Check some comparisons between those and go from there.

Yeah, overall Figma has always been better for things that aren't hard sculpted and realistic. Although I don't know how their face printing technology fares nowadays.

Fucking hell I still wish we got Figuarts Guyver instead of Figma.

Line makes good stuff but I miss when they experimented with franchises. These days it's just Marvel, DB and Kamen Rider and a lot of that stuff is web exclusive driving up the price.

Robot Spirits is honestly the best toyline in it's 40-60 dollar market (which is becoming a 50-80 dollar market across the board). Insane articulation, excellent molds, always have great accessories. Just top notch.

To be fair on Bandai, the Figuarts looks more like the anime whilst the Figma looks more like the manga. There's things I like about both but I'm glad I bought the Figma.

The best Figuarts are the among best figures for their price point. Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Dragon Ball have made many improvements in sculpt and articulation over the years. Shinkocchou probably have the best sculpt and paint for under $100 even though they don't go for the best articulation.

It's noticeable when a figure doesn't have much time put into it as Bandai's best. MCU and Star Wars Figuarts have mostly been the same for years. Like Thanos has the standard joints, but their range sucks because the sculpt doesn't accommodate them or the joints don't work around the sculpt. My hugest problem with Figuarts is that a lot of figures don't have bicep swivels.

It really depends. Figuarts excels at live action characters while figma excels at cartoon characters. Mafex can do both, but are even less predictable in the QC department.

Yes. Not every figure is perfect but they're mostly reliable- they make the consistently best Star Wars figures in 1:12 and their Toku stuff is incredible.
