I don't know about how his windows and blinds are set up, but for me, a sliver of sun only has contact for 15 minutes at best with SOME of my stuff and that also depends on what month it is.
Pretty negligible, albeit that has led for the few parts of a few figures to discolor unevenly (or even leak plasticizers) over the next 20 years.
Indirect lighting is bad too, but UV decays per every surface it reflects off of. So a white painted wall will reflect something like 25% of the UV rays of the sun. Lower for other colors and surface texture.
But that's just life and what we view as "normal" decay. Not really something you should worry about unless it's something like glossy white tile or polished/brushed steel/aluminum
