>>8599069Actually it was 5, I forgot one
>Paint chip out of the box on one of the yellow details on the side of the car >The thumb on the left hand wasn't pinned in>The right shoulder cannon's arm was completely loose and wouldn't stay upThis one was pain to fix because it's pinned together, but it came out eventually and I used a screw to put it back together tighter
I'd attribute those to QC lottery but the loose shoulder cannon might be a common problem, I'm not sure. The other two have more to do with the design of the figure.
>The folding parts of the inner legs are too tight to close fullyI ended up just shaving a bit of plastic off those inner parts to make them close better, not that bi a big deal though
>No clearance whatsoever for folding the tailgate over the legs when transformating him, scraping the red paint on the knees is almost a certaintyThis is the big one people usually talk about when referring to this figure, you practically have to bend the tailgates to get them over the knees, and since he's packed in truck mode you're almost certain to get some kind of paint chip. I ended up just cutting off as much plastic from the tailgate as possible to create the clearance I need to transform him without worrying. See how tight the clearance is after I trimmed the plastic, now imagine about 3mm of plastic sticking out of the tailgate and into the knee pad.
Other than that, I think it's an alright figure, the articulation is a bit stiff but the paint is solid, the sculpt is pretty good and he comes with a good amount of accessories including a pretty cool toy head. He's definitely a fixer upper but if you just want a Trailbreaker to shove onto a car bot shelf he's not going to flop over or self destruct on his own. Still, I always have to recommend figures like this with an asterisk because I tend to have way more patience for trouble-prone figures than most.
Plus other than him the only options are the MMC version and the Fanstoys vapourware.
