Yes, I've done this a lot. If there's something I expect to be rare down the line, I'll get one in box, and one out of box. Or if they have a really good pose in box kind of thing, or are likely to be discontinued quickly.

That said, I have a Barbie fetish and that's generally where I do it. I have like 12-15 versions of this doll, 2 in box, and even shitty used versions are going for like $50 on eBay, in box is an easy $225+.

(Yes I know it's fucking weird but you'd never guess it if you knew me, they're all hidden away.)

I almost did this for Titans Return Triggerhappy, I loved that figure so much that when I'd see it on shelves, I'd be tempted to buy it again just for how golden of a figure it was. There are figures I own that I like more but Triggerhappy hit the right amount of quality and affordability that drew me to it. Never pulled the trigger on more than one but I was close.

Does collecting several figures of a character count? Ive only done that with Taskmaster since he’s been my favorite marvel villain for several years now. So far I have his Thanos BAF wave one, black widow wave Taskmaster, Red Onslaught and the select Taskmaster. I have been hesitating getting the toybiz one and getting the few funkos for him also the sh figuarts mcu taskmaster and select mcu Taskmaster.

Yes. I don’t think I have bought a Frame arms girl only once. Some I’ve bought in volumes of 4. I don’t even panel line them usually. Just snip sand and snap build and call it a day

I have a couple of girl figs that I own more than one of. But it's more like army building. Like Fuchico for an Office Lady squad (technically the different color versions are each the own figure) and the Silent Hill nurses so each of them can have a different head, as the figures come with 3 different faces.
