What are your favorite molds/figures. Not color ways but the actual figures themselves. I'm a big fan of the biomass monster and the mushi and nemesis. I just wish the biomass monster had three articulated tentacles and three articulated claws, as opposed to two and one respectively.

and yet the hand looks like shit if you even attempt to use it

the Delphi makes Pheyaos and Villser feel like a failed experiment. The only reason Pheyaos is better than Villser is because it has pre-posed limbs to look less static

That's a really great build but Pheyaos still can't build.

Pheyaos builds like KOTS builds. Swapping limbs, that's it.

Look at >>8596946 for example. Cool, limb swapping! Pheyaos doesn't deserve to share a shelf with Geodraxus which actually does the building thing correctly.

As basically a collection of angular shapes formed into a vague suggestion of a humanoid, Geodraxus was always destined for building greatness. Pheyaos was first designed/sculpted many years ago by Matt and Mori, when all he had to do was be a sofubi that didn't consider build-friendliness or if the design could easily be broken into many chunks when scaled up to "mainline Glyos" proportions.

There's like 6 glyos figures that can do this on their own. If you don't have the imagination to use and combine pieces into unique and interesting builds it's you that is the failure, not the figure. There's a few duds and nearly unbuildable figures in glyos, but not nearly as many as your shit criteria suggests and pheyaos sure as shit isn't one of them.

Feel the variety of the outlander as you flip it's torso upside down and literally nothing else. Expansion sets dont count.
Relive the excitement of putting a brick on top or bottom of a slightly different sized brick with the zeroid

I like these figures but you're not doing much with them without help from other figures or parts.

If there's one Star Marshal then he'll survive the first hour probably. The Mando should be heavy ordered to last a few hours at least. The first hour has limits on most new things to give you a chance. Matt would like to avoid instant sellouts unless it's a limited item like the rare blank of something

If you're new to Glyos then I'd wait until Toyfinity comes out with a Roboforce figure. Getting two of those is your best first step into Glyos. Onell (the drop on the 6th) sells themed figures and homages, mostly, so if you're already a fan you'll buy them. But Roboforce ones are for building with and they have lots of little parts to work with.

There are two ways to do this.

1. Buy from official makers during their drops. Most, especially if they have limited paint, are quite cheap. You could go over to Thegodbeast and get some of their hallospecters for like 12 bucks a pop. They're what I used to build this >>8598235. I suggest you avoid things like Knights of the Slice, since they're overpriced and not really "Buildable" in the same way that Onell, Geodraxus and godbeast are.

2. If you want to buy used, you're best trying the facebook group or some discord group. You can lurk ebay and try to buy from some guy just getting rid of his stuff, but that's a rare occurrence. Mostly you'll be dealing with scalpers like MTGveteran who will sell you an 8 dollar figure for 35. Unless you REALLY need it, its not worth the prices most people on ebay ask.

Personally, I'd say wait for the drop at Onell this week on the 6th and see what you think of those prices. If they're too high for you to buy a few, then this stuff might just be outside your price range. Glyos are cheap for small run toys, but they're still more expensive than a mass produced toy.

I'd echo both things here. Wait for official drops, and roboforce are great building figures if thats what you wanna do. They sell blanks for like 12 bucks which is insane considering how big they are and how much you get. Get 2 or 3 of them, maybe a maxx and something else for part variety, and you'll learn if this is the sort of thing you like.

I don't know If I'd say thats true? He's very active compared to the others, who tend to be quite quiet except around drops. But I'm almost certain Onell is still making more money than him due to just selling more product. I have no idea how many figures Toy Pizza sells, but I think a lot of their "Sell out in 10 minutes" stigma is because they order like 100 figures.

Jesse has a small, vocal fanbase and he charges outrageous amounts for his stuff and thats about it. He's basically OSM if OSM actually marketed itself. And had less interesting parts.

To everyone commenting on the large number of Delphi and other items still left in the store:

Remember that it will probably be mid February by the time we get another drop. The numbers ordered for this wave are among the highest Onell has ordered ever. The Delphi was a much hyped figure that sold through considerable numbers the first time through, and Matt has repeatedly stated how it's good to have some things in the store and that they generally get consistently paced orders in between drops.

With Onell switching to less drops per year, partially because of Covid but I'd wager also partially to cut down on massive shipping costs from China, we've seen fewer drops but they're bigger and with much more stock than we're used to seeing.

They're sure as fuck not bigger in number of figures. Everything has felt so empty and missing building opportunities. If drops were going to be so far apart, they should have at least twice the number of different figures in them. -arms and hips have super low building potential. Like I have a pile of these since they get replaced immediately with axis and swings

I get like, the nostalgia for the mold, honestly. I just don't think the current Pheyden is up to snuff any more. The new Delphi body, minus the limb extending parts is the same traveler size, and just looks nice and bulky in the right spots, and has hands that actually work with glyos (I will say, I wish we also got a pair of open hands, but that's besides)

Felt the same way and skipped this round all together although, to be fair, I've got zero emotional attachment to Star Wars so a bunch of homages to it don't really do anything for me. First wave I've altogether skipped in years.

Delphi, to me though, just looks boring. Nothing about the base figure sticks out or appeals to me and none of the pieces do anything better than another piece can already do and none of them look particularly cool.

I'll concede that as just like, a little guy you look at or carry around, yeah, he's OK. I think in the right colorway or with the right combo of paint and tampos, you'd like the Delphi as figure. Oh and don't sleep on the alt head, it looks great

lol, both heads are literally my least favorite part of the figure.

I fully recognize that it's just my opinion and as a set of generic pieces Delphi does pretty well. I just think it's uninteresting and I'd rather buy pretty much anything else.
