Especially pics of the children running around in the first shot of the hideout would be interesting since they seem to wear a new style of helmet but they only filmed their backs.

I definitely prefer his look when compared to Pyre. The gold just doesn't work well imo.
I'm glad Cardinal is painted red though, rather than cast in that pinkish-red plastic (right) that was used for the Sith Trooper.

So many people think he's a Sith Trooper too because of that red armour. His First Order design is nowhere near as distinct as Pyre or Phasma, but I think he has the most presence.

Youre in the right place anon. Ignore the asshole. Set an alert for it on ebay for it I guess or check mercari. I preordered it the day it was released and amazon canceled my order when it released. I was angry having to pay 65$ to a scalper but glad I did it. Its not really worth the price demanded now imo but its still a great figure. Two reasons
A-After snoke was killed off, the design team tried creating new dark side characters for the movie, porotype named "oracle" this was all done before a final design was decided, All of these freaky aliens were for a new villain and were recycled into background extras, this happened in episode two with Kit Fisto, Ventress, Zam Wessal and Pablo Jill. They were all deigned to be the main villain before dooku was created.

B- J.J. Abrams was green lighting edgy things because he was so stressed out with frustrated with Disney and he was just more geared towards edger designs, Maybe this was he way of geting back at people who complained about the pervious aliens being boring.

Just do what everyone else did and snag the Mission Fleet one. I paid like $10 for the Swoop bike set for the pram and I even get a second Baby Yeed to go with my Black Series one. It works well imo. The included stand is a little short though, so I just balance it on a Tamashii Nations Act III stand.

Good base story is such a cope from 14-20 year old prequel defenders. The good part of the story wasn't expressed in the actual films. And any era is good for EU material if they know how to tell a story. Look at old forum threads from the 2000s and people said the same shit about the prequels then that they are about the sequels now. There will be a tv show or video game series that will help trick the next generation into thinking the sequel trilogy was good.

I think multiple species can be native to a planet. Like I think Tuskens are native to Tattoo and I thought, at least in legends canon, that both green and brown Niktos and Weequays were also native to Tatooine. As were Jawas I think. Mon Cala and Utapau also seem to have multiple species being native.

I personally don't feel there is a "best" because each line has its own strengths and weaknesses. Figuarts look great on average and pose pretty well but the character selection is lacking (only Ep IV and Old Han for example. No Hoth, Bespin, or ROTJ/Endor versions). It also seems to be hit or miss on if the figure is actually worth it and they are fucking slow to release things (still waiting on that B2 battle droid...).

Black Series has the most selection and is the only version for most characters. While obviously they aren't as nice as the imports, I think that's slowly changing with the photo real implementation as well as updating to pinless looks. The worst part is the lack of accessories really and annoying distribution.

Mafex look the best but are pretty expensive comparatively and in my opinion seem to just be good at standing there. They aren't very dynamic toys and also have the smallest selection.

Really it depends on what you specifically want to collect but I don't see why you'd limit yourself to one line when a mixture of all (including the model kits) is the best way to go.

Most imports are 1/12 so they'll all scale well together. Its not an either or situation, if you prefer the imports for certain characters, you can get the imports and they'll scale well. Many collectors will mix and match to get all the characters they want on their shelves.

Alternately consider 1:18 scale; which has the biggest main character outfit selection, along with plenty of random background characters, playsets, vehicles, and monsters.

We're never getting the likes of Exar Kun or Aunt Beru in 1:12 scale; and 1:18 has well over a dozen SBD releases and variants.

Yes definitely. There's sometimes a slight difference in height with the kits, they tend to be just a smidge taller, but it's nothing that's very noticeable especially if that are posed. Here is a mix of two of the new BS Stormtroopers with two model kit versions (and the SHF Mandalorian in the foreground).

And it does show the credit art although not all of them are enlarged to be splash pages , probably because they've used them several times, but they have a lot of other paintings from the same scenes/episodes that they show off which is cool. Every figuarts I’ve bought is well worth it but I still suggest just dipping your toe in both and only getting the figuarts versions for the characters you REALLY love. People only disliked the prequels because Lucas changed the story structure to expand the story into a 9 movie narrative but people were to stubborn to accept any changes to inject more story into the narrative. Those kinds of people have had their wish come true in TFA as you can do nothing but reboots or mindless repeat adventures with no progression allowed, the style of 80s toy cartoons, in that tight of a mold. So no, nobody will ever praise the Sequels for anything but the squandered story potential and foreshadowing that never got a pay off. The bit of Mauler where he replaced Obi-Wans "your first steps" quote from the TFA vision scene with a Palpatine laugh sums up perfectly the structural problem of the sequels that the prequels never had.

They want to incorporate more ethnic differences into the races, which can be debated to be an OT thing. Green and Orange Niktos exist even though they might as well be entirely different species and female Twileks have the facial features of earthly africans, chinese and caucasians but that is a Special Edition change, so closer to Prequel territory.
I actually like that. Most old EU has Trandoshans as Bossk clones right down to all of them wearing the same spacesuit but the Disney era (including TCW) gives them all kinds of sizes and skin tones. That might be the one upside to new canon.
