No, it's a bad investment, even if you just want one to goof around with. It's a bad time to get into Classics, you'll never be able to have fun with the line or collect much without sinking huge amounts of cash into it. I recommend Origins and Masterverse.

Doubtful with Masterverse coming out. I think that just drives the line up, because people who are new will want to buy into the line with Masterverse and then start filling in slots with Classics. Plus there probably wont be vehicles or playsets in Masterverse.

Isn't Masterverse supposed to be modeled after the new show, while Classics are modeled after the old toys? Plus Masterverse isn't being sculpted by 4h

Maybe they'll try to have a coherent style regardless of the series, or maybe they'll try to adhere to specific styles (the former sounds more likely, just so that there could be some measure of reused, 200X for example would be a huge pain in terms of unique tooling if they stuck to its specific style, for example). It's very much a wait and see thing, for the first Revelations wave, then what they do beyond that.

Only like Wave 1 is based on the Kevin Smith series. They're doing characters from different series and different versions of characters.

Not necessarily. Sometimes they were Filmation inspired even before they did the line of Filmation style sculpts.

They'll have more articulation, but I see it as no different than people Mixing older Marvel Legends together with new ones. The Moss Man prototype is built on a Classics buck.

I still think that Moss Man is nothing but a mockup. Prototypes are usually at least functional, and this thing had sculpting all over joints.

Also, all we know of is wave 1, and for all we know wave 2 is also Revelation. Thanks to Kevin Smith we also know there's at least 2 more figures one would assume from Masterverse beyond that wave from Revelation, including Battle Cat and then one more item that we can only speculate about.

I was able to snag all of wave 4 on a random trip to walmart at 9PM one night when I decided I wanted more shelving. They also had a full set of wave 1 origins, battle cat, and other lines were well stocked as well. It's weird how you can go months without finding shit and then all of the sudden you find everything at once.

Wal Marts around my way have been selling out. Kept finding pegs of Seth Rollins with all others sold out.

Finally got lucky today and scored Mr. T & Jake the Snake. Also picked up The Fiend just because I liked the design lol.

I don't care much for most of the WWE collection but Mr. T and Jake fit in really well.

None here central Midwest. Shelves are absolutley stocked to the teets with He-Man, Skelly and the rare occasional Beast Man. I'm thinking they sold well initially so stores stocked up on wave 1, now they're sitting, thus holding off on Wave 2.

What's a fair price to pay for a castle greyskull shell w/out the door? What about with the door? My antique store has one for $100 and it seems like too much, but when I look on ebay, they're $60+$30 shipping because of how hard they are to ship.

I know that it doesn't have the door - it's behind glass so haven't had a chance to look at the condition yet. I'm going to look at it again this weekend. I looked at comparisons between the origins one and the vintage and the vintage just looks much better aesthetically, The new one is cool and I'll get that too, but it's too clean paint wise.

The problem with Orko is he's kinda small and most of his plastic budget is with the stand, could have given him a wand or spell book too. Not sure if he justifies the $15ish price point but still a better deal than super 7.

Not to mention we get the international cards, so given that Germany seems to get them real early, they must have the international versions ready to go a fair bit ahead of the the US versions, so it makes sense that international markets get them first.

He's actually pretty big compared to the other Origins figures on his own, and the stand's posability makes up for him having no legs. What he really needs is spell effects for his hands, but I gave him ML Dazzler's hand effects.

All would fit in with the MOTU theme really well. Kane to a lesser degree.

Lots of the 80s gimmick era guys would be great. Problem with the newer guys outside Demon Finn and Fiend Wyatt.. they've all got such plain, generic, boring appearances and gimmicks they don't lend themselves fitting an appropriate matching gimmick in the Masterverse. Its just kinda random crapshoot mashup with no rhyme or reason.

I mean fuck... Man-E-Kind Faces would have made more sense than new day . Give him Mandkind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack.

For that reason, I think Jake the Snake is easily the best release thus far. I couldn't have asked for a better blend universes and gimmicks.

They completley dropped the ball with Sting. He's literally just in his regular crow outfit. I understand that people today are more familiar with that getup but Retro surfer Sting would have been more in tune with the line IMO.

Definitely Million Dollar Man. Ric Flair and pretty much all the face painted 80s wrestlers. I don't think he has any sort of Legends contract but Great Muta would be awesome. Didn't Liger get inducted into the HOF?

He shops where Skeletor shops, options were limited. Beyond the novelty of that kilt, Piper is a pretty weak release I think, an axe and white battle armor. The Dragon has to be my favorite of the bunch, such a good color scheme, good deco, etc. If I didn't have the first Macho Man and prefer him as a face I'd have liked this one. We don't know that, but I don't think it's needed. I'd rather see deluxe figures, vs 2-packs (maybe even triple threat 3 packs), small playset type items in a deluxe pack to pair with the rings, etc. How about some WWEternian furniture and foreign objects to use with them? I think it'd be more fun that way. There aren't all that many iconic WWE vehicles besides like the milk truck or ambulances, but how would you represent that with MOTU.

And besides that, my point was that weapons don't necessarily need to correlate with the characters (see the 3 examples I gave), so snake staff, axe, it's still a weapon for them to have. And of course they do try to fit it in when it makes sense, see Cena's invisible weapons, HHH terra ryzing claws, Rollins fire sword, etc.

Might want to learn to read and think a bit before posting your thoughts, the intention of the post wasn't that hard to figure out.

They looks at there system and see all the Wave 1 figures in stock so they don't bother ordering the next wave. Unless you have a store with all of there wave 1 completely gone, then you'll have to wait until the rest of the retailers get the figures.

yes, it's one of their better creative designs. Most of those WWEternia figures are generic looking or just have a mish-mash of MOTU parts and calling it a day. But the rest.... the rest are perfectly made. Like the new day. (and the 2 you got). skull king HHH is another that has his own unique design. And then you got The undertaker, who had only one design choice and they nailed it.

Got that ebay skeletor head today. It's made of some sort of light weight plastic. Wish they sanded the face a little more though. Overall I like it and it's an okay option if you don't feel like mutilating one of the super 7 figures.

That’s a deep deep cut. Axel is the best. Also hope Charger gets made due to his appearance. Weird Teela has the Goddess spear but seeing Green Goddess is on a preorder list, she’ll probably come with that.
