Nobody here is saying Playmates should have copied the the Marauder Mo customs exactly as the production designer did in the show. (Make them with the Superpatriot bodies.) That's just dumb and for that to ever possibly happen, every designer, executive, and lawyer at Playmates would have to be pants-on-head retarded.
Playmates could have just as easily put a generic ferengi head onto an armored body like a Klingon's. It's Playmates own body parts made in-house, because they had the Trek license back then. Put them together and there's your Maruder Mo figure. It would have been easy to do and no reason for Todd to sue.
