Shit like pic related is probably hand made. I've seen similar figures with screws for joints and others with traditional MOTU snap sockets.

I'd imagine something like this is effectivley hand made. I think it's cool seeing different color schemes, mashups and just the one offness of it all.

Then there's stuff like pic related. Pretty common in terms of KOs. Definitley factory made due to the sheer volume. But still a chintzy charm to it.

Although IIRC mine was a different color. Black maybe?

I also had a similar line that was outer space related. Came with chrome plated armor. I think I saw recasts using sine if the similar parts at dollar tree recently.

Yeah, there was a black and silver set as well. I looked for years to find them again because I couldn't remember the name. Only come to realize Chap Mei had a lot of awesome figure lines. Might collect again

I didnt saw bootlegs in poland for a while, not in the wild. I bet some rural shops still have them tho. We used to have dragon ball bootleg figures in every kiosk like 20 years ago.

When I was a kid, I had some knockoff figure that had no articulation except shoulders, but what really impressed me was the fact that the entire figure was cast in this really cool electric blue chrome, and his accessories were gold chrome.

Mexico used to have his own toy companies that make licenced toys back in the years before globalization, then tecnology and tlc arrived and they went broke because big toy companies started to export directly and not from them, then a lot of small companies started making bootlegs to survive and also to reach the low income buyers, the originals were so expensive that they were a better option, then it become a tradition to make unlicenced toys until this day, and they are improving a lot this latest years
