After losing the Jaster’s Legacy on Oovo IV, Jango stole a Firespray, then destroyed the remaining five models and removed the tracking device from his newly acquired one, so no one would come after him, or know why he was in Oovo IV. While on Malastare during part of “The Hunt”, Jango came across a ship that was a clue that would lead him to someone who might know of Vosa’s whereabouts. Roz, who was one of Jango’s partners, and could see through his helmet’s camera from time to time had this brief discussion with him.
Roz: Huh, it looks like some kind of slaver ship!
Jango: Yeah... I know...
This was a little in-game reference to his time as a slave years ago, which was expanded in more detail in the tie-in comic series “Ooen Seasons.”
Then after another battle with Montross, and an escape, Jango returned to his new ship. Roz then asked Jango if he had a name for his new ship yet, he then they say something like
Jango: Yes, I believe I’ll call her the “Slave 1”.
Roz: Hmm, yeah, kinda suits ya.
