Hey /toy/, I come to you with a puzzling mystery.
Now I'm sure you're all familiar with this castle in pic related. The Fisher Price Great Adventures Castle playset that ran from 1994-1998. If you were fortunate enough to own one then you know this shit was big, it had a bunch of expansion sets, two computer games, and some old cassette tape that you could play and have your figures play along with the events describe in the cassette tape. Even if you didn't own one, chances are you knew someone that did, or you saw it in preschool/daycare or something.
I come to you asking about a particular expansion piece that is very elusive, and was even very elusive for my parents back in the day. A red dragon with black horns. I know it at least existed, because pictures do exist, and as a matter of fact, this very dragon appears on the front of the cassette tape's case. I even saw it in toy catalogs as a kid. I believe the dragon's name was Bernie, but I digress. Will continue in the next post.
