I just generally hate it when limbs taper outwards. Either make it sort of human proportioned all over or compact stubby/beefy all over. The designs above mix the two in a way that is unconsistent proportionally making it unflattering.
If you mean regular model for doom eternal i feel you, gears of war had that too. Removing definition of the ankles too much just makes a character look obese lol.
I guess it makes sense from a 'realistic' approach of making an joint very armored and protected for a heavy character that moves slowly, but that's not fitting for mr. Doom 'supersanic' the Guy.
