If i recall i spent a lot of my birthday money one year on these, i think i bought like 10 of them from target when they had some kind of deal like buy 1 get 1 free or something, maybe buy 3 for the price of 2, idk. Anyway i sunk like 20 or 30 dollars into them.
They were cool toys, and i was obsessed with them initially, but parts broke on them over time and 1 by one they got thrown out. I think the clips on the feet or the thighs or something were prone to breaking if you were too rough with them.
I remember being bummed out over it, if you are an adult collector youll probably be okay if you find a few if youre gentle with them. My brother and I probably were rough on them, but being a hotwheels brand toy we assumed they would be tougher. anyway i have fond memories of them. If you can find them for a reasonable price you should get some. They can be pricey though. not quite sure why.
