It took a long time but Tarn finally made his first semi-cameo in a cartoon so maybe 20 years from now on Pharma, Froid or some of the flashback Autobots will be re-occuring characters. I can dream. Tyrest is also confirmed to exist in the current comic run, which doesn't mean he will appear, but it's not unlike he will. Not that this means much regarding toys, even less cartoon appearances, but it's better than being a one-time character never used again.
All of these things happened rather recently so maybe they will result into something positive for once.
