One piece wave is next for the line. Not interested in anything so far but I like the potential this has for series that will never get action figures otherwise. What other series would you like to see them try?

I assume that isn't it for accessories. For Zoro to not come with a head to hold a sword defeats the point of the toy. Not to mention the traffic cone that I assume BOA won't be able to deal with. Happy to see more One Piece in figure form and I'm desperate enough that I'll probably buy these.

Not like VAH was particularly good. They were just the best of the worst. Scaling is fairly important in One Piece, and they didn't do right by it in that sense. Given some of the absurdly large characters, it feels like the only way to get a reasonably scaled One Piece line would be a 1/18 line, otherwise we'll continue to never get even Franky or Brook, or the Admirals, or anyone besides the regularly sized Straw Hats and some friends like Law. Or of course, relatively tiny Mihawk, Crocodile, etc.

You can look at the promos here. Zoro doesn't seems to get another head. Strangely Luffy doesn't seem to get anything. Maybe they consider his hat an accessory which would be pretty lame.

What strange hands to give Sanji. At least if they were fully splayed and flat he could do some of his hand stands. These hands don't do anything. And if that's all these come with, that's really lacking. And if they at least have a second hat for Luffy that could be worn, that would be a start, but some more hands would be good for him. Maybe some cooking stuff for Sanji. And of course that extra head for Zoro.

I think people just expect more from them due to the price point of 8-9000 yen. Alot of the designs have skirt pieces which are inherently a bit tricky to do in figure. Like the other anon said they're the best of what's out there if you want action figures and not statues for one piece.

Not that anon but I do own a decent amount of th VAH One Piece line. The quality on the figures are decent enough in my experience, though like with anything there are some hiccups here and there like occasionally a loose peg joint for a hand. My worst figure has to be my time skip Zoro who for some reason has an absurdly tight butterfly joint on one side of him while the other is fine. To be fair that may simply be due to the retailer I bought from maybe only having the first release in stock since the line did reissues for a few characters which have better QC. I bought most of mine at 50% off here locally a few months back so I might also be a bit biased in that regard.

Definitely the best selection in terms of characters but goddamn they were so close to finishing the main Strawhats. I like my pre-skip Zoro but I would have easily traded him for getting either Brook or Franky if I could.

i like the idea of cheap Saint Seiya figures, but I don't trust them to commit to making all the bronze and gold saints, what they put out is pretty good though. i guess they're made for outside the usa because I have yet to see them(saints) in a b&m store

And I'm seeing them shelfwarm pretty hard here in Peru where people love Saint Seiya so much they made Kurumada mutate into one of them through the hundred monkey effect.
There's no way these could compete with Myth Cloth when people here are willing to go into fucking debt to buy them in time.

Surprisingly I've seen Saga at an EB Games here in Canada. Was surprised since no body cares for it except us Latinos (there aren't many here unlike the US) and Chinese.
Myth Cloth is a completely different market than even those who buy Figuarts and what not. They feel closer to those who'd buy SoC and 3P Transformers

I doubt it's because of conflicting licenses, 6-6.5" and 7" seem to be non conflicting based on Marvel, Star Wars, etc. They probably just haven't released these here yet.

Good if the line is selling some places, but local TRUs are completely full with them.

The only options are the Figuarts and VAH iirc for imports, and the Figuarts were awful
Keep in mind that the VAHs are not 1/12 (they're larger) and more expensive but you might get him decent at Mandarake. Not sure how much he goes for since I never bought a Luffy personally

source, people change size all the time. It just sucks ass that the line is bigger so everyone blends into being a little taller than Luffy, or towering. I would prefer a good 1/12 line, but the details VAH are terrific.

Zoro, Croc, and Past Blue Luffy are my favorites by far. Shanks looks great but moves like shit.

Shanks and Usopp are my current hunts for the line. Just wish I could find decent prices for them.

Can't speak for what he costs nowadays but if you can get him for something like 8k I think he's alright for that price. Anything above that I would really question though.

He can stand pretty well on his own without the included display base. Diecast in the legs at least assures he won't be falling down anytime soon.

Give me these 3, even if its just one wave and that's it. It seems like a series that might be in the realm of possibility at some point if the line is healthy. Fairy tail's got no chance at their own action figure line but maybe in something like this that dips into a bunch of series. There's a bunch of series that fit in this category.

The shitty thing is I actually did manage to order Usopp during that sale I mentioned back in >>8622119 but the retailer had to end up refunding me because somehow I placed an order when he was actually meant to be sold out. Shit still burns me even now that trying to find him for non-rape prices is absurd.

Bright side is I managed to wait long enough to be able to get Whitebeard just a few days ago for below retail. Hopefully I can do the same with Shanks and Usopp.

It looked like Megahouse tried to go the P.O.P. route with a coomer Nami to save the VAH line. After that it really seemed like the line was buried. But then out of nowhere they dropped a new Law and reissued a bunch of figures. I 'm assuming Brook is a bit tricky to engineer but I can see them doing Jinbei next (ignoring any Luffy, Law, Namivariants).

Thats criminally disappointing. Some dude on IG was selling one for $120, I had talked to him not long before that bc he had sold a cheap Ace or some shit, and I asked if he had anythign else. I'm tempted to try and kitbash the Storm Skeleton into a Brook, but I don't think it would work very well. I cant even guess what they will make next, best guess of anything is a Sanji reissue.

Ehh, I wouldn't say he'd be too hard even if they were going to be using the Soul King design. As long as he can at least hit a few key poses I'd say he'd be fine.

Haven't got Whitebeard yet. I should have specified I just won him off YAJ and am waiting on my middleman to receive him. Totally excited though as he was sort of a mini grail of mine. I'll be sure to take some pics when he arrives.

Unlike Naruto & Kinnikuman, I think One Piece has a good chance of coming back.

There is a lot of hype around chapter 1000 and it's practically an institution at this point.

Its just a shame instead of shf they are peddling the imagination works.

Maybe if the reviews of goku are bad enough they will reuse the sculpt but doit in a 1/12 scale.

How much are they charging for them over there? I remember seeing a youtube video from a Mexican saying that with the exchange rate from Pesos they were charging close to twice the American MSRP over there. Wasn't sure if that was the case in other parts of Latin America.

The shirt was done as a separate piece. Due to being too small, it couldn't even be sonic welded shut, so looked fucking awful. I saw one recently and it seemed to be welded shut, so I thought maybe they fixed it.

It just feels like one of the bodies they use for the Myth Cloth line, with a couple of poorly fitting clothing pieces slapped on. The shf were pretty rough. Anyways, if anime heroes did another 3 who would you expect? If they did straws hats it would probably be the human looking ones Nami, Usopp and Robin. This seems more like a kids line though and those generally avoid females. I'd say a batch of Sabo, Ace, Law might be more likely.

Looking at the direction of the Naruto part of the line, Ace is a really solid bet, and so is Sabo. Thinking about it, there isn't really a popular antagonist that's the same height as Luffy and them, they usually tower them. Shanks could be an option too, and Usopp as well. There aren't any female characters in the Anime Heroes line as a whole yet, so I'm doubtful we'll ever see Nami or Robin.

Dragon stars did android 18 and Kale , 18 being pretty standard in terms of just being a female in dragon ball toys. I don't think Nami with a climatic or even Hancock would be too unreasonable if it went long enough but maybe not so soon. You have to wonder how many licenses they're gona have and when they'll just start stacking more waves on top of the existing ones.

Yea it is but i think its fair to comapre the two. They're both from Bandai America, use the same size boxes, come in waves of 3 and same price point. They're basically using the same mentality for this line where dragon ball itself could carry it's own line. I guess this way they can drop series that aren't too hot but still have the anime heroes brand continue.

Fuck no they aren't. Even the Figuarts line hasn't made a big dent in the immense roster of characters in the series so there's no way in hell Dragon Stars is anywhere near that. That's not even counting stuff like transformations and alternate outfits.

Hopefully the character selection/quality gets better if they're cutting it down to 2. With 3 a wave there was always an obligatory recolor. They also cut the baf pieces and we didn't get much in return so idk.
