>>8622860>>8623089Titan Devastator has the biggest number of engineering disparities between the Hasbro and Takara releases of any figure since the start of the Legends line. It's not just colors or facesculpts or even a bonus accessory, but totally new articulation and engineering.
The list of things that the UW version has that the CW (the one being reissued) doesn't are:
>Elbows for Scrapper and Longhaul. >Extra elbow joints for Hook and Mixmaster so they don't look like they're dangling on a hook>Hinged knees for Scavenger and Bonecrusher instead of balljoints>Devastator's shoulders have ratchets for outward movement>Scrapper's wrists fold out further to give Devastaor's foot more surface area >Longhaul's feet tab tighter into his thighs to stabilize Devastator's pants (Still not very well, but better than CW)>Devastator's head has a flipout forehead to give him eyes or a visor. The CW version only had the goggles and the SDCC version only had eyes.>6 new weapons tor each individual constructicon. That's not even mentioning the deco changes, which are subjective. Here's a review with pictures of each difference:
http://plasticspark.ca/toyphotos/devastatoruwvscwPoint is the Unite Warriors set has a significant number of objective improvements over the Combiner Wars molds. The CW set is decent for Devastator, but not so much for the individual bots. For $150, he's probably on par with some 3p Devastators that came out several years earlier, which are at least now around the same price. I would say he might be okay at that price with some upgrade kits, but all of them are totally gone or fucking expensive as hell. Ultimately I'd say if you can't get the UW set for around $200, don't get either, and hope that Hasbro revives the plans for a SS86 Devastator, which would ultimately be more expensive and spread out over several waves, but would probably be a better overall set.
