Seriously considering it. All I have ever cared about is MMPR and I have the complete set along w/ the white ranger and the lightning dagger/morpher. I figure I can sell that for around $200 total and put it towards this.

I think the lighting collection is dead now that MMPR is done.

Once we’re done with the metallic S2 gang, what other ways do you think they’re gonna further milk the season to help sustain LC?

Yeah I'll concede that. I held off on Ace hoping they'd do a V2 eventually and since 30 announced there's I figured it might be better. It is, but it still drops the ball. I think the helmet on the Threezero looks pretty bad even if the shield is better.

$140-165 each. Its amazing Threezero went so cheap, I think tis a case of knowingly undercutting because of AT. If Threezero ever do Zeo or movie suits or anything else I expect them to be $130+; conversely I can see ace making future releases cheaper.

I think this is the first time I really regret Boi being gender swapped in MMPR.

I’m fairly confident they’ll knock out DT pretty quickly since it’s just Black and Yellow left, but I do worry about Dino Charge. I think Blue and Green are decent choices, but I really hope they do Pink, Purple, and Silver at least. Maybe they’re waiting for Dino Fury to start, idk.

Kinda bummed that Beast Morphers is ending and the chances of us getting yellow and silver are getting lower every day. Unrelated.

I got my Dragon Shield black out to fiddle with a few nights ago and then axe handle got all mangled from either the tight hand or sliding the gun mode piece up to transform the weapon. Either way, it shaved off some plastic and made it ratty looking.

Man those 1/6 mmpr are so tempting. I have collected the entirety of MMPR LC so far but 550 or all 6 seems like a really good price. My toy collection I am very picky on what lines I go 1/6 over 1/12, so far I only have Star Wars in that scale, so I might have to pass on those rangers since I don't have the space to put them anywhere.

Kind of pisses me off that it was most likely intentional that they waited for all rangers in LC to be released before announcing this. Would have definitely just got these fuckers and called it a day.

Hard to say. There’s instances like the Psycho Red 2-pack where both figures got rereleased, but then there’s ones like the Zedd and Rita 2-pack where one figure is exclusive to the 2-pack (and due out for a rerelease at some point, probably). I assumed we’d be getting A-Squad 2-packs for every color of Ranger, except Red, so A-Squad Red would be released individually. But since SPD Pink is a single release, I’m fully expecting a five pack of A-Squad to hit Amazon next year.

I really don't understand how LC is such a cheap line. A newly tooled $20 Transformer has complex engineering and may only be repainted once. Some might get 3 or 4 repaints but that's uncommon. Meanwhile most Rangers are using the same generic body with minimal new tooling like heads and belts, and we can't even get a properly painted figure? There's barely any unique villain sculpts and all the actors signed away their likeness rights ages ago, so it's not like the budget is going to that. The value is way lower than it should be given how cheap this line is to make. No figure should be missing paint apps snd there should be at least one newly tooled character per wave.

it's the best version of Lord Zedd and the only version of Rita so far, it's one of the best of the line so far, idk where the line is going though, I gave up at the SDCC exclusive tommy, there's too many misfires to pledge any more loyalty to this shit. You might want to get Goldar and some Putties too, they're not as accurate as they could be, but they're very close. I USED to say the monsters are the best part of the line, but the $30 monster line makes that untrue because they're out of scale and have shoddy paint detail

Where are you pulling that number out of? Wave 2 may be too soon, but since these are designed in a computer as long as they haven't been tooled yet they could easily be downscaled before the tooling process. They're not gonna wait until that deep into the line to downsize them. I'd say wave 3 is most likely if reception continues to be overwhelmingly negative.

Shit like missing paint isn't going to change if they think they can get away with it, but the outcry about Trent's helmet and Tommy's diamonds has shown Hasbro that it pisses people off, and that's not a good way to keep people buying your products. Even if they bought them regardless this time, the patience will eventually wear thin and people will start to abandon this line if they haven't already. For the monsters it would cost Hasbro less to make them the way the fans want them, so there's absolutely no reason not to just keep them Ranger sized. Everyone was perfectly willing to pay $30 for a MOTD, we didn't need them to be fuckhuge to justify the price.

You’d argue that Saba is the most important one of the two swords since that’s why he costume is white. Weird choice not to include it. The torso mold wasn’t super noticeable on this guy because of his armor, and the paint apps were perfect on wave 1 (minus Shadow Rangers silver bits). Zedd admittedly had a fucked up staff, and I think that’s when people started to realize they’re using google images for this stuff.

Overall the line isn’t terrible. The figures are all solid for the most part, minus a few missing paint apps, but that’s par for any six inch line. What’s unforgivable is the lack of attention to detail. Helmet sculpts that are inaccurate, despite Hasbro owning scans. Paint apps that are silver instead of white, because the designers aren’t doing their research. The same torso mold for every male that can’t put their arms down. Budgets per wave, meaning some figures get tons of weapons and some get one. I’m not sure I really understand it, since this line appears to be successful in terms of profit. Maybe it’s not like ML and it’s not getting the return GI Joe gets, due to just having more stock of stuff, but Hasbro outright owns it, they have to be making money on it. So I don’t understand why their C team is handling it.

Random differences between members of the same team is also a big one. SPD is probably the biggest offender with that due to differing helmet paint apps, morphers, chest badges, arm badges etc.
The arm badges are especially a mess. Red & Blue have matching sculpted & painted badges, Omega has a miniscule, vague, completely different looking stamped paint app with no sculpt, while Pink also isn't sculpted and has yet another different stamp paint app. Bonus negative points on that last one for Hasbro using an incorrect fan-made image from google.

Psycho Silver is presumed to be the second figure in the TJ two-pack. It would make sense since Psycho Silver appeared in a TJ focus episode. If that's true it's crazy to me that we will get Psycho Silver again before getting a standard Zhane.

What I'm really intereste in though are SRE NUCLEAR, ZTH TANGA, and BLM PARSEC. Those should be MMPR, Zeo, and In Space villains in theory. Though with ZTH previously being used for MMPR's Z Putty I wonder if ZTH TANGA might actually be a Tenga. I hope that's not the case. I do want Tengas but Zeo will have 4 Rangers at that point and could really use a villain. If it is Zeo it'll probably just be a Cog since it's minimal new tooling on a basic Ranger body.

For Warden to get shit in order so Ecliptor can be painted properly. Ecliptor with all his lines would be a QC disaster using whatever factories are currently churning these out. Not to mention half his lines would probably end up being unpainted because whoever is budgeting these figures is awful at their job. Moving Warden from Transformers to PR shows that Hasbro is at least trying to improve things, but we probably won't see any such improvements until 2022. I wouldn't worry about the line being cancelled anytime soon, they sell well enough and cost very little to make. 95% of the figures are just reusing the same basic male and female bodies.

>For sure Zth Tanga is a Tenga. Some codes are not that hard to decipher such as SLVR Photon. Definitely Psycho Silver.
SLVR PHOTON could be a silver Quantron. The jury is still out on that one. Z Putties getting mislabeled as Zeo is a mistake I could easily see happening, but mislabeling Tengas as Zeo would be odd. Tengas would also require a completely new sculpt which they haven't done in a basic wave since wave 4's Blaze. Cogs would be an easy reuse of the basic Ranger body so that's what I expect it to be.

Honestly, the paint that is there is solid. King Sphinx has a ton of paint apps since he usually has red, on top of yellow, on top of blue. And he also has a ton of shading, something people complained about endlessly with Goldar. But the face being unpainted really sucks. Claws are okay, I have yet to see a Hasbro line with consistently painted hands (since they’d be painting four hands, that drives costs up).

But now let’s talk about costs. Making this figure FUCKING HUGE ate up their budget. Goldar was solid, Zedd was solid. Make Sphinx their size and there’s suddenly money for paint apps, and he fits the scale, AND most people still would’ve paid the $30. They literally did this for Marvel Legends a few years ago by making a brand spanking 100% new mold for Iron Man, and selling it for $25. People lost their shit and bought him up. I guess Iron Man isn’t King Sphinx but MOTW are more popular than some of the obscure rangers. Just common sense mistakes in this line all around. I’d even be fine if they redid King Sphinx in a normal size and said this stupid huge one was his “make my monster grow” form or something.

Nah not yet. If they do it right, it’ll be perfect. But most likely it will have the same issues as Time Red: improper stripes on the bracers, really thin arrow on the chest. And hopefully it would include a couple hands and a sword and gun version of the quantum blaster.
