Computer Luke looked soo off in this, and his voice sounded like the last episode of South Park with Chef in it, where they sliced archive dialogue together.
It didn't help we had old bad bod Boba in the same series.
Also couldn't they have just used the physiscal R2 model from the sequels, instead of a CGI one?

I guess it's a similar problem as Rogue one;

However old Boba was at the time of Jango’s death, then that’s how long he raised him. I think he was around the 10 years old, which is around the same age I was when my father died, and he had a big impact on my life.

Huh, that's interesting, I haven't consumed much extended universe stuff but when I first watched Clone Wars I assumed he got Jango made as a 10 year old and had him age normally from there, I never considered that Jango raised him from a baby.

According to ROS, he did and that's why he and Lando went looking for the wayfinders. But then Ochi the dumbest fucking minion in existence got himself killed and the trail ran cold, so Lando just stayed on that planet to be a bum and Luke just decided the wayfinder quest was a bust and just went on with his life.

Basically JJ Abrams and Chris Terrio was incapable of creating a plot that doesn't retroactively make its characters retards.

team of 4 female mercs take an entire light cruiser by just marching straight down the hallway shooting everyone. I think they only had to take cover for 5 seconds total. At least the OT heroes were hindered a little bit by the stormies. They're just completely neutered in this show and nothing more than time wasters. Even the dark troopers were denied a chance to be a huge threat, there was actually some tension with the 1v1 fight but they wrapped them up quick. Also don't show the bridge has blast doors right after the heroes march effortlessly onto it and kill everyone.

I hated this too. Especially with the fight between Sasha Banks and Boba. Completely unnecessary. Also it didn't help that it seemed like no stormtrooper even fired a blaster before just getting murked. They really made the empire feel like no kind of threat this season.

I kinda felt they deliberately had an Avengers moment where all the women were together fighting, but I actually liked all the women here, so it was fine. It was semi-noticeable that it was was a "strong woman" moment, but it didn't really bother me in the same way it did in Avengers Endgame.

I have the same problem with Black Series-- it doesn't have as large of a figure library and revisits the same characters a bit too often. Despite that there's over 100 figures, it feels like there's still barely anything in the way of world building in the line. Hasbro to their credit has tried to rectify this a little by including small vehicles and I like that, but it's not the same and waves really should be bigger to get more figures out there quicker. I always had the most fun with random background aliens and characters and the fact that each and every background character seemed to have their own story.

I still kinda like that version's over all sculpt. I haven't ever managed to get one of the build a droid ones, but it'd be nice to army build them. I do want a sculpt of the version from The Mandalorian, I like the red glowing eyes on them.

Jango was probably a good dad. Might be remembering wrong and it's not canon anymore if it ever was, but I think there was a series of young Boba Fett books that came out after AotC and I read the first one as a youngling and at the time it was fucking depressing and miserable. Everyone Boba met tried to trick, swindle, or sell the poor kid and I think someone stole Slave I from him for awhile, but anyway IIRC Jango also left him prerecorded messages he made in case he died in order to teach him lessons he hadn't taught him yet and how to access his offshore bank accounts and stuff. That was a cool detail of the story. Although there were parts where I think he'd just listen to them in order to hear his father's voice/see his hologram image again. :(

You got Open Seasons & Bounty Hunter game being vaguely canon, while both Fetts can be considered non mandos by other factions of mandos, and Boba doesn't end up the ultimate Mandalorian of all Mandos.

There's different views on what counts as Mandalorian in-universe and Jango seems to count by most measures, but it seems like he never really ingrained any Mandalorian teachings on Boba and Boba himself doesn't seem to give a shit about any of it. And as for the clones, some of them knew some Mando stuff, but the higher ranking ones sometimes know more. Especially if they were trained/raised by other Mandos, like Kal Skirata or Walon Vau.

Indeed, it was a very good game. I still play the game/watch all the cutscenes from it from time to time. Some of the levels were hard as knobs though. One of the coolest feature of the game, as silly as this sounds, was the fact that it had an entire issue of Open Seasons available as an unlockable.

One of the oddest, but interesting features were that checkpoints technislly counted as “collectibles”. And you could actually miss checkpoints if you didn’t find them. And I think some of them were sometimes hidden or in hard to reach places, because sometimes the game devs could be malevolent.

I'm not sure he's suited for the role of a crime lord, but I'd rather have him come back and assume a different role rather than just go back to being a bounty hunter. That was the problem the EU had with Boba when he first came back- they didn't really do anything with him and he was just back to being the top bounty hunter as if nothing had happened. Later EU did more with him, but it was basically just Mandowank. Here, it looks like they're drawing a clearer definition between pre-Sarlacc Boba and post-Sarlacc Boba, where emerging from there constituted a change in direction for him.

In the EU, yes. In canon, there's been no indication of that. The fact that he doesn't seem to give a shit about the Mando ways would imply that he didn't, since he's pretty committed to honoring his father and if Jango had taught him the Mando culture, code, etc. I don't think he'd be so eager to dismiss it.

This is why I think Jango probably didn't put much importance on his own Mandalorian upbringing. Like he's the dude who got baptized as Catholic and went to Sunday school but as an adult he just went "meh this isn't for me" and didn't pass any of it on to his kid.

The vibe I got was that after Mandalorian Civil War, Jango simply didn't bother teaching much of his culture's ways to Boba since there's no real point to it by then, especially with how his dad literally got killed because of said Civil Wat. Artoo practically lived at the temple during the Clone Wars, so that's a period of three years where they could have potentially run into each other. It's not a sure thing though, for example Ahsoka had never met Obi-Wan or Anakin, despite Obi-Wan living at the temple for 30 years and Anakin for about 10 at that point.

So, would you guys watch a Star Wars show that’s basically sort of like a slice of life show where the different episodes would cover the mundane or less actiony or deadly sections of characters lives? And they could take place in any decade in the series?

One or a few episodes might be about Obi-Wan hanging out and doing stuff with his pal, Dexter.

Another episode or a few might be about Luke doing some stuff some time after Return of the Jedi.

There would also be a multi-part about Jango just being a dad to Boba, raising him and telling him stories. Maybe talking about “Aunt” Roz. While Boba’s still really little, he’d leave out the sad parts of the story, then when he gets older, he’d tell him more and more of some of the grit. Then maybe in the last part of the “Fett Family” multi-parter, you’d see Jango listening to some of Roz’s last recordings she gave him before she died, then Jango decided to add on to the recordings, just in case anything were to happen to him, Boba could at least find out more in life, instead of being thrown around constantly. And maybe young Boba would be peaking at what his father was doing, then he comes in and asks him, which surprises Jango. Boba then asks what he’s doing, and Jango says something about how he’s making some holo-recordings for him, just in case anything were to ever happen. He hopes that Boba never has to use them, but then he goes to say that the galaxy isn’t a nice place, and that daddy sometimes has to do things to help him out in the future, just in case anything were to happen to him.

Then later, the scene flashes to a somewhat older, teary-eyed Boba picking up the recording. As he turns it on, the storm outside starts to intensify, drowning out anysounds from inside. As the camera slowly pans out, you just see Boba’s silhouette begin to break down and hold his head in his hands, shaking.

The next episode after that would have to be sort of happier though, for obvious reasons.

An entire series like that wouldn't hold peoples attentions long.
It's fine once in a while in series with actual characters you care about, but only as long as they're part of that series.

There's various comics and books that have done what you've said, but none of them are big sellers, btw. So if you want middling sales/viewers it'll be like STar Wars Tales, but it'll never garner the fame of that one episode of the Simpsons.

Well it turns out Dengar and Bossk were at Jabba's palace, and aboard the barge. No clue why they didn't join in the fight, or if they survived, but given Bib Fortuna got off the barge, it would make sense both of them could, too.

Also there was like 4 or 5 Greedos in ANH, so it could have been Boossk, and Bigger Dengar that got blown up.
