Also Plasma series is fucking dead. That shit is PILED HIGH at stores and not selling. Covid fucked any possible restart on Hasbro's part. Thry aren't trying anymore. That Pulsecon embarrassment proves that.

Stuffed tight, shit's not going anywhere but clearance at the end of the year. Ghostbusters is dead, Hasbro will probably silently kill the line next year. Ship out what they have left (if they can even get peg space), or it'll all get dumped at ROSS.

Hasbro half assed this line from the get go. Im not at all surprised to see things end up here. Atleast the figures hitting deep discount will mean cheap custom fodder. I guarantee those retro figs will get stockpiled by ghostbusters hardcores once they get clearanced out.

I think Plasma Series would be more successful if

1- Afterlife had come out and been successful at the box office

2- The 2016 remake hadn't pissed on the franchise.

3- There weren't already several other options for Ghostbusters figures. If they showed off and released more waves, there'd be an incentive to go in on this line.

4- They should do a wave of Real Ghostbusters.

The biggest hurdle for me was the price of the retro rereleases. was gonna pick up the line for nostalgia reasons, Had that Egon figure as a kid, but $15 for a rerelease figure with 5 points of articulation, during this economy?? really Hasbro/Kenner?

especially with the visually and better figures right next to them for only $11.

It's so strange to see the reissue 80's figures warming pegs, they always seem to sell out fast at my local Walmart. I had bought Venkman and Spengler back in August and only recently managed to get Ray and Winston.

One if these days they will do Ghostbusters line that doesn't die one wave in.
Maybe they should spread the teams out more so it forces people to stick around.
Like:
Wave 1: Ego (original movie), Eduardo (Extreme), Venkman (Real), Slimer.
Then each wave gives you another member of that team plus a ghost/side character like Tully.
Then you can do variants like "slimed Vankmen" or "Ghostbuster Janine" to pad out waves and they can even do cartoon ghosts to they actually have something to fight.

The major problem with most ghostbusters lines after EGB is the lack of fucking ghosts. Imagine if hasbro put out nothing but avengers, and never once released any villains. That's been the case with every ghostbusters line since the start of the century. Ghosts are now an after thought instead of the focus of the line. That being said I'd like to get some decent EGB and RGB figures.
Yet without any decent ghosts, what would be the point? GB is a package deal, if even one element is absent everything kind of falls apart.
