Ideally you want to find a good base figure that does most of the work for you. If I were to be making that particular figure I'd probably use an Ant Man MCU Marvel Legends to start with. Then order some armor pieces from third parties unless you have a Mandalorian or Jango Fett to use for fodder that you could take pieces from, specifically the leg armor. Sculpting with green stuff is also an option or model and 3D print if you have the capabilities. Using a dremel is also recommended if you need to cut/grind away areas to apply new pieces.

For parts and accessories you can check out third party guys. Some of my favorites are

Endor luke is better. Im almost considering getting another just to have in his final duel outfit. Endor gear fits great and is easily removable. Definitely one of the best releases in recent history

Endor Luke doesn't have that belt and neither does the Jedi Knight Wal-Mart version. The only one that's come with it is the first release version in the blue striped packaging that also had the swappable tunic piece with the open flap.

The bodies are the same though, so if you have Endor Luke, you can buy a replacement belt from Scoundrel's Stock and paint it. Or if you have a Bespin Luke, you can cut the holster off and repaint it. Wouldn't be totally accurate but close enough.

His stock isn't as much as other guys, but he's the only one I've seen that has some inexpensive replacements for lightsaber blades and that Luke belt. I think his heads are way overpriced though (usually $15 a pop) compared to other stores. I can't speak to his quality either, I haven't bought from him yet but I'll probably place an order soon. I usually just buy from Outer Rim Traders and Two Suns Casting.

I like ORT especially because you can piece out their kits if you only want something specific like the knee pads for a Mandalorian, hands from a Quarren, chest piece for ARC troopers, etc.

No problem Anon. The two on the left are the Bandai model kits, center is the Black Series (with the model kits gun) and the manlet on the right is the SH Figuarts. IMO, the model kit is the way to go. These are unpainted and right out of the box. The Black series is alright but the weapons are really lacking like I said before. SHF is great but a little too short.

Pic related was a "Realistic" TCW phase 1 Captain Rex that seemed to be made of mostly the amazing Captain Fordo figure planned for TVC. Hasbro has been sitting on it unreleased for almost a decade now.

That's the figure we've been asking to get released.

The current realistic phase 2 Rex here>>8648491 is a repack of the 3 3/4 The Black Series figures that was a brand new clone trooper mold that was way worse than either TCW or TVC clone molds from years ago. No ball jointed diaphragm, only a swivel waist, no ball jointed hips, hands a lot gummier so they don't hold the pistols as well, and the butt cape is so tight around the legs that they can't kick forward as much.

Wolffe used the same body, sadly.

Mine came in today too. I only got one for now due to space issues, I may pick up another one in a couple months if they aren't rare, but shelling out 100$ when I wouldn't have room for the other felt like a waste. I figure I will never have enough space to show all the side characters/troopers with the Mando cast so I am focusing on characters that actually have names for that shelf.

Hey guys,

I am new to Black Series collecting.

I am aiming to collect all the Mandalorian armors from the Mandalorian live action series, so I will be skipping the ones from the animated series and Jango Fett and Original Trilogy Boba Fetts.

So far I have the Heavy Infantry coming in and planning to preorder The Armorer and Bo-Katan.

I am not sure which Din Djarin to go with. Is the Pedro Pascal version better than the helmet only version due to the longer neck? I don't really like the chin sticking out at certain angles though. Alternatively, should I just wait for a season 3 version with the spear and dark saber? Having a removal helmet does make it consistent with Bo-Katan's one.

The pre-Beskar one is quite nice too just to collect every armor even if it doesn't have a jet-pack.

I hope Season 3 will bring about even more Mandalorian Armor toys.

Dont worry about collecting Din stuff as in missing out on a figure. They'll keep pumping stuff out for him. The Build-Up pack is hard to get at MRSP, and I don't think the extras are worth the scalping price compared to the $20 Beskar version.

The first armor is a fun figure so if you can get it at retail go for it. It feels a lot more cowboy-like than the Beskar

In terms of authenticity I'd say no since there has to be some fudging of the sculpt details for third party 'sabers to sell.

Are you getting this to hit people or to display? I usually hear these FX Sabers are for nothing more than swinging at the air and displaying. No play fighting.

It’s going to be solely for display and swinging the air.
If I could get a custom blade that can take heavy hits and if the internals of their hilt’s are sturdy, then I would use it for light-medium dueling.

The outfit he wore at the end of the second game is pretty good too, but then again, it’s inspired buy his training gear from the first game, but less raggedy. Speaking of which, I was randomly looking up some Star Wars stuff on google images, and I saw this old-ish Star Wars figure (pic related). I’m pretty sure either Starkiller’s very first outfit in the first game (his training gear, I think it’s called) or the last outfit he wears in the second game were based off of this figure’s outfit. The first one was very popular, especially since it was still in gah era of gaming where games could sometimes still be released on prior-gen and current gen, seeing as how it was released on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PS2, and PSP. Funnily enough, the PSP version actually had the most content, seeing as how I t had bonus modes you could play, like you could pick a character to play as as see how long you could survive though Order 66, or have “Unleashed” recreations of famous battles from the movies, or battle though waves of Jedi, Sith, and Force users, with rad heartless getting harder.
The second game was still good, in my opinion, but I think the most common complaint was that the game didn’t feel long enough, which I sort of agree with, it is rather short. However, most “journalists” say that it should’ve been a DLC for the first game, which wouldn’t have worked, for obvious reasons. Then again, most of those “journalists” are probably the same people who say that Halo ODST should’ve been DLC, unaware how much work actually went into both games, and how much content they actually have.
And yeah, ol’ Sammy boy will always be Starkiller to me, even when he tried to do that Darth Maul voice.

I really want them to completely retcon the sequels out/confirm they're an alternate timeline and ignore them, but realistically I don't see it happening. The best I'm hoping for is that we mainly see things around the Mandalorian timeframe and they don't waste any time trying to retroactively justify any of the sequels' trash.

Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing played together in several horror films, including as Frankenstein and his monster. Yeah, Prowse was also the monster at one point, but that's only really relevant in context of episode 4 making Vader out to be on Tarkin's leash. In the grander scheme, Cushing and Lee were actually friends as well as playing in many more films together.
Curse of Frankenstein in fact is one of my favorite movies, and easily my favorite Frankenstein version. Cushing is particularly excellent in that and its sequels. I'm also rather fond of his Van Helsing, but Lee's Dracula opposite him doesn't do a hell of a lot for me.

As for future figures, no worries there... Disney has a cash cow and they know it. There will be seasons of figures coming as well as re-issued ones and plenty of new characters. I think the angle they are going with is that Ahsoka shouldn't exist in the current timeline and even minor actions by her are working against the eventual creation of the First Order. Sending Grogu to Typhon may have been a catalyst to prevent the creation of Snoke and the betrayal of Ben Solo.

They literally haven't. There has been cloning, but no specific mention of Palpatine. Snoke was mentioned have been created through "Sith Alchemy," and the Palpatine clones probably have similar origins. Whatever Gideon's having his people work on is just plain Kaminoan cloning.

No, when Merry mentioned Sith secrets he was describing how Palpatine could've returned. Snoke's exact origins were never described in ROS beyond "I made Snoke" and further information from Lucasfilm states he's some kind of genetic creation but there's been no mention of Sith fuckery involved in his creation.

There has been many contradicting info about Snoke since the lead up / end of the Rise of Skywalker. Both the novelization AND visual dictionary have added things. At this point, I think nothing is truly set in stone. It was rush out so quickly they didn't even have time to finalize it. Though, Disney knows better than anyone else, that Star Wars fans would dissect every little bit of info. I assume that's why the comics / Mando is doing "damage control"

right so point is you can't take the visual dictionaries as absolute fact. didney wants everyone to think that everything matters equally now and won't suffer the contradictions of the old EU but the reality is that nothing is set in stone until it's in a movie or TV show. it would not surprise me at all if the mandalorian effectively retcons whatever the dictionary said about sith alchemy and leaves some fat intern in charge of reconciling them in yet another reference book. same as it ever was.

Well it's a moot point since none of the visual dictionaries for any of the ST mention anything about Snoke being created by Sith alchemy. So far The Mandalorian isn't really contradicting anything (other than stuff ROS already contradicted, of course).

Just re watched the PT films yesterday. While I get where you are "coming from", I would rather watch the PT than the ST any day of the week. Sure, the acting is very rough in parts (basically anything to do with Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman), lots of ham and some awkward fight scenes. Even with all of those faults, I'll take it over the ST. The ST really feels like a big corporate boardroom manufactured film. Nothing in the film is a risk, or original.

A big part of the reason the PT still has fans despite the trilogy's numerous flaws is that there's still something there for people to latch onto, such as the worldbuilding. There's a reason the PT-era EU was so massive, everyone recognize what a fertile playground it was. The ST may have its fans but by and large you don't see too many people really getting absorbed into it, and you can see EU writers trying to work with the era and not being able to make anything out of it because there's nothing to work with. It's so heavily derivative that even the few good ideas it has are just wholesale stolen from the OT, where they were almost always done better. The PT for better or for worse actually tried to do something different, and for that reason it's always going to stand out whether you love it or hate it. The ST is just three movies constantly going "hey remember Star Wars?"

That said I do get tired of not being able to say you liked something in the ST without people throwing a screaming fit. Like I can't say that I want that Black Series Crait Luke to finally come out (because regardless of the context of the scene I do like the outfit) without someone screeching about Jake Skywalker.

I think there will be people who think the sequels were judged too harshly, but it's worth remembering that for all the hate the prequels got there were still plenty of fans. The sequels don't have anywhere near the same level of fans and defenders that the prequels had in their day.

The one thing that pretty much ensured the sequels would have a bad legacy was ROS; before that, there were people who liked TFA and hated TLJ, or hated TFA but liked TLJ, or liked both, or liked neither, or liked/hated aspects of them, but the one thing ROS did was unite all of them. ROS pissed off almost everyone, and even people who had been willing to defend the ST in any capacity have decided that it's a lost cause. It left such a bad taste in everyone's mouth that I think the number of people going "the ST was unfairly judged" in 20 years is probably going to be pretty small.

FA wasn't really a good foundation either, but the big reason people hated TLJ was for it's constant denigration of Luke Skywalker; with FA it promised that Luke was off in some far away place for an unknown purpose and that Rey finding him would be the start of some grand adventure and actually answering some plot points. But in TLJ when Rey finally gets there, Luke is a bitter middle-aged childless incel cuck who ends up dying for no real reason. There was a lot of bullshit that you can point to and be mad about for the ST's but it's treatment of Luke was the biggest offender of which it could never recover, and it becomes the big gripe and complaint people keep making when they say that no matter what new material The Mandalorian adds or any of the other shows or movies add, it'll never matter because it always ends with Luke getting screwed over in TLJ.

Not really, TFA establishes that he exiled himself out of depression because his students got killed. People seem to think TLJ did that, but it's right there in Han's explanation. TLJ's problem wasn't that it turned Luke into a depressed hermit, it's that it ran with it rather than trying to salvage the idea.
