I don't really remember much, it's an older comic from about 5 years ago by a small-time English language author where a trainer travels with his Nidoqueen who always tries to make advances on him. If it helps with the search, the trainer was not Red or any of the known characters, just an OC.

This is beautiful and filled with nostalgia from my favorite era of Pokemon--when it was so early on that a lot of this type of shit was not available in America yet, and my relatives in Japan would send me things like this for all the other kids on the playground to get mad jelly over. I particularly miss those Japanese foil packs, I wish I had kept some of those on ice. They had such a great aesthetic.

I've been slowly collecting the original 3 sets. They are surprisingly cheap. Gonna get into the Johto sets too but will probably stop there. The E-Reader sets are insanely expensive.

Ivysaur and Venusaur have as much posability as they'd ever need and I'd rather have figures in a relatively cohesive scale rather than a smattering of one offs that don't really mesh with other things on the shelf. I don't deny that those Bandai models are good quality though. Just wish they were in scale to each other and had more to be displayed with.
