Recent pick ups lads? I went buck wild recently, got Tarkin, Dooku (mainly for the Peter cushing and Christopher Lee headsculpts. Hammer horror figs when?) Endor trio and 2 of pic related. The hoth troopers are amazing. All the interchangeable parts make them a lot of fun to pose and play with. You could have a squad and they'd all be unique. Definitely recommended

He has 2 blasters, scarf that you can flip upside down to use as a face covering, extra faceplate thats stored in the backpack, and goggles. Not my pic but gives you an idea of what you can do. Aftermarket can be pretty brutal so pick em up if you see em

Crimson Commander !!uoqqXVkn8aK
>>8655583 Pretty much this. Why would Luke just let a threat take over the galaxy and abandon everyone?
Anonymous
>>8655604 The same reason Han got depressed and abandoned his wife and friends to go back to being a smuggler. Because JJ Abrams didn't know what he's doing anymore than Rian Johnson did.
Crimson Commander !!uoqqXVkn8aK
>>8655611 FA clearly intended for there to be more with Luke's exile than TLJ did, the same was also the case with Rey's parents and Snoke, and the Knights of Ren.
Anonymous
>>8655619 >FA clearly intended This is JJ Abrams. He doesn't intend jack shit. That's his entire game, he sets up mysteries that he has no actual plan for.
Anonymous
>tripfag fell for the JJ HAD A PLAN THAT RIAN RUINED meme It was doomed from the beginning, there was never a timeline in which the sequels were going to turn out well
Crimson Commander !!uoqqXVkn8aK
>>8655624 >he sets up mysteries that he has no actual plan for. Yes, he always does set up mysteries without answering them and intends for other people do so, but it's hyperbole and disingenuous and conflicting to say that the intent was always going to be the same what TLJ had happen. As I said in the last thread, just because Yoda was in exile, and Obi-Wan was in exile, didn't mean either of them stopped being a jedi and became bitter angry losers. Obi-Wan didn't whine to Luke and tell him that the force was a waste of time and for Leia to solve her own problems. And Yoda didn't tell Luke to go fuck himself.
Anonymous
>>8655639 No, your argument was that TFA set up something big that TLJ ruined. TFA didn't set anything up. It left an opening, but that's very different from behaving like your headcanon was real. TLJ doesn't contradict anything TFA set up regarding Luke. That's the part you're not understanding because you want to blame Rian Johnson entirely when JJ deserves his share of that as well.
Your comparison with Yoda and Ben doesn't hold up either, because in their cases just as with Luke, we're given a reason for their exile. We know Ben and by extension Yoda exiled themselves to hide from an Empire that's hunting and exterminating Jedi (keeping in mind the part about watching over Luke specifically came later). With Luke we're told he blamed himself and walked away. Again you keep imagining that TFA described something that it never actually did. You are treating your headcanon as established fact.

>>8655647 >No, your argument was that TFA set up something big that TLJ ruined. You're trying to strawman and move back goalposts for God only know what reason; I know what my argument was, and I said it last thread, that the main reason people really hate the sequels was because of what happened with Luke and the treatment of Luke in TLJ, and everything else from FA prior was insignificant in comparison, because FA was acting like a superhero origin movie that set-up a bunch of shit and left the sequels for the pay-off. That it's Luke's fate that still has everyone up in arms, even with The Mandalorian being a success, because of what happens to Luke always happens and is cannon.

You don't like it, because it hurts your argument.

>>8655663 >You're trying to strawman and move back goalposts for God only know what reason Do you have any idea what those terms even mean? You're the one who keeps changing your argument. Don't blame me for that. You keep trying to shoehorn your own beliefs as far as what TFA intended about Luke and treating them as fact. My point is that TLJ wasn't the one that established that Luke got depressed and walked away from everything, TFA did, which as I have repeatedly pointed out (and you have repeatedly failed to acknowledge) Han literally says outright.
>You don't like it, because it hurts your argument. No, I don't like it because it's inconsistent, as I just pointed out. You don't even have an actual counterargument here.

I was hoping to see some OG aliens - the iconic shit: Jawas, Ewoks, Mon Calamari, Gamorrean, maybe a bounty hunter like Bossk or a robot... this line is custom made for cartoon/cgi alien toys, and yet 99% of the line is stormtrooper variants and sequel trilogy humans who all look a bit lanky.
I'm honestly surprised there isn't a porg pack.
This yoda looks pretty good and seems to be articulated as hell considering the scale... shame they didn't do any of the other short aliens.

Crimson Commander !!uoqqXVkn8aK
>>8656559 It started out as some sort of multi-media project with Disney that Hasbro rushed out some 5POA repacks for that pissed off toy collectors, because they already had the figures and they were the same 5POA we had already gotten again and again.
So, then Hasbro made an actual dedicated line with the promise of vehicles and such, which pissed off collectors, because they were making vehicles and figures that were not only larger than TVC, but roughly the same amount of articulation and with new sculpts... for less money-- that it meant that Hasbro COULD charge less money for TVC, but deliberately wasn't. Collectors were also put off by the fact that so much of the line was Sequel characters early on, such as Rey and Finn, but there was some OT characters, but fans didn't start getting interested until they revealed Clone Wars figures, since the aesthetic for the line fit with Clone Wars. But by then, Hasbro had more or less killed the line in favor of Mission Fleet.
Anonymous

>>8656571 So they made a line purposely based on the clone wars aesthetic, and then purposely did every characters from every movie or series EXCEPT the clone wars, and when everyone lost interest and left, did a couple of clone wars characters and then couldn't figure out why it failed so instead of understanding their fuck up, they just move on to the next reboot.
Yeah, that sounds exactly like disney star wars.
Maybe one of the forty new star wars tv shows coming out next year will accidentally have a good alien design in it, those are definitely going to be quality over quantity, right? They definitely won't just cancel all of them and make more tv shows in 2022?
>This franchise is getting worse all the time Anonymous
>>8656571 >Hasbro COULD charge less money for TVC, but deliberately wasn't So what killed this line, the poor character choice, or the fact that proved they were overcharging for their other lines?
Crimson Commander !!uoqqXVkn8aK
>>8656584 Poor character choice, but Paul on Jeditemplearchives wrote several articles reeeing over the fact that it proved Hasbro could charge less for TVC, but wasn't. The abundance of characters like Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren, and BB-8 did the line no favors. And it's troopers were First Order figures, all relegating the line to peg warmer status.
>>8656582 More or less what you said. It was a Clone Wars line, but Hasbro neglected to put any Clone Wars characters in it until it was too late, which is a typical Hasbro move, dooming a line just as people were beginning to give it a chance, because it made sense when Ahsoka and a Clone Trooper were revealed. Now instead of giving it a chance, they've made Mission Fleet, which I kinda hope catches on, but I think it too will be short lived.

Paul hated the idea of Hasbro giving us random Mandalorians to use as background characters.
>Our review on the Republic Elite Forces (Mandalorians & Clone Troopers) Entertainment Earth exclusive multipack set may create some hate mail (or love mail depending if you dislike these sets too), but we won’t hide our true feelings about this set. Never has there been a worse exclusive in our opinion released to the collecting community than an assorted mix of Skittles-colored Boba Fett-esque action figures and mandalorian specific clone and ARC troopers. And to be honest, we’re not sure which is worse, the actual Mandalorians or the included Clone Troopers with the huge Jaing skull symbol on their chests. (It looks just as ridiculous in this write as it does on the clone troopers.) Interestingly, the included figures may have been a lot more welcomed by us had they been sporadically included in various exclusives (or even the basic figure line) here and there. But the overwhelming multipacks (there are two of these believe it or not people) really turned off hardcore collectors in ways that words just probably cannot explain. The set served more as an ego stroke to various Hasbro employees than anything else. Many of the crazy and almost unpronounceable names are anagrams of various Hasbro employees. And there really aren’t any palatable background stories that are even remotely interesting in the Expanded Universe. Can you tell we despise these exclusive multipacks? Well, we do. >With all of the wonderful background lore on the Mandalorians, it’s mindboggling that Hasbro would decide to create their own unique take on characters that didn’t exist until now. https://www.jeditemplearchives.com/content/modules.php?name=JReviews&rop=showcontent&id=786 Anonymous

>>8660325 You know what matters? The toys, and nothing else. If I wanna discuss fan fiction I go to /co/, star wars only interests me because it has interesting toys time to time. Looking at any of the lore is a tremendous waste of time because I'm too big brained like david lynch is when he got a headache from watching star wars.

>>8660336 Explain to me how Luke having a child he never interacts with, the audience never sees, and has no impact on the plot of the films would make the story better.
Anonymous
>>8660346 It would be better motivation, if he lost or thought he lost his family, to fuck off in the early stages of the galaxy's darkest times, instead of this new weird hubris thing where he thought he was so untouchable and perfect that failing once(a second time, because Empire happened) caused him to abandon everyone and everything he ever knew and fought so hard to protect.
Anonymous
>>8660363 But now you're rewriting the story. That wasn't the original suggestion, which was that Luke having a kid off-screen somewhere would make him less of a failure somehow and make TRoS more palatable. Sure, you can rewrite the films with Luke as a father where things are more sensible. But you could also rewrite the films with Luke childless that would also be more sensible.

>>8660370 It's not rewriting the films at all. Nothing in them contradicts this, only bad supplemental material, which is where the revelation of his offspring would spring from anyway, and it would retroactively add depth to shallow storytelling. And I've already stated how the existence of a kid would have made RoS more palatable, but you offer nothing more than "nuh-uhs" and try to attack my masculinity and age. I've said multiple times now that, as it's written and presented, Palpatine wins. His only enemies are dead and his spawn killed him, like he wanted.
So go ahead and say the grandmother thing again, ignoring my actual point.
Anonymous
>>8660390 >It's not rewriting the films at all. Yes, it is. Luke never mentions having a family despite talking at length about his motivations alongside significant flashbacks. Leia doesn't mention it. Han doesn't mention it. It would add another contrivance, but it wouldn't add depth.
>Palpatine But he doesn't. You only think this because you're projecting your obsession with Luke having children onto the story. The Sith are gone. The Jedi are revived. The Empire/First-and-Final Order are destroyed. Rey rejects his legacy. The fact he had someone biologically related to him survive does not mean he "wins."
Anonymous
>>8660400 Luke's already shown to be an unreliable narrator when talking about ben, so "he never says anything" isn't a stretch.
Palpatine's plan is for her to strike him down so he can possess her. She does. But this is going nowhere because we literally keep saying the same things back and forth so I'm really tired of going in circles with you and your little jabs about "obsession." You're fine with the movies as they are? Great. I'm not trying to change your mind, stop trying to change mine. Stop telling me I shouldn't care. Live your own life.
Anonymous
>>8660408 >Luke's already shown to be an unreliable narrator when talking about ben, so "he never says anything" isn't a stretch Which he eventually comes clean about. He never mentions losing his family. Nobody does. It would be a huge stretch to shoehorn that in, and isn't even really compatible with his already-given (and clearly sincere) motivations anyway.
>She does. And he doesn't possess her. He doesn't destroy the Jedi. She doesn't perpetuate the Sith. He doesn't "win" unless you're an idiot.
>You're fine with the movies as they are? Your reading comprehension is dismal, Grandma. I think they're dogshit movies. I just think your suggestions are Abrams/Terrio-tier stupid.

>>8660414 >He doesn't "win" unless you're an idiot Is exactly what someone who got snookered by big dick Sheev would say.
Why are you so hostile? I mean, doesn't Star Wars not mean anything? Isn't it dumb baby shit for babies, only good for cool toys now and then?
Anonymous
>>8660421 >snookered Yeah, sure. The Emperor was playing 7D chess and actually just wanted the Jedi to survive the whole time.
Star Wars not mean anything?

My only fear is Mando is somehow doing major damage control to the ST. Luke's theme in the final EP of Mando, is sampled from his theme song from the first two ST films.

D-O was alright in the film, when you have him talking. He just looks like a desk lamp, though, which makes him less "cute" than R2 or BB-8 with their little eye.
