>>8671415Okay, I was a longtime ThreeA collector, and I also bought Damtoys' Green Six (which is what I assume you are referring to, since he was $250).
I loved ThreeA in their heyday, but for every figure where they went all-out and gave us a ton of bang for our buck (like say, Slicer TK Baka), there were also a bunch of relatively lazy releases, that while still good toys, didn't do a whole lot to justify their price, with lots of sculpt and soft goods pattern reuse. And as you may be aware, everything gets cheaper with reuse, since you don't need to pay for labor to design, test, and create that piece from scratch again.
Now, Green Six is one of the highest quality figures I've owned in recent memory. Every piece of him aside from his internal base body is of course made from scratch for this figure. He has a multilayered outfit with lots of different fabrics used, very tiny intricate patches affixed to his bubble coat, and impeccable weathering (much more careful than the slapdash weathering ThreeA started doing about halfway through their lifecycle). He also has fully articulated robot hands, a giant mechanical helmet/backpack, and a super bulky sofa to sit on. The sofa is so fucking heavy he can even sit atop the back of it with no problems, and the bottom is covered in velvet so it won't scratch your shelves.
It's a very impressive piece in person. I'd even go as far as to say I'm much more impressed with this than some recent Hot Toys I've owned. It's of course debatable whether it's worth the price to you, but I'm telling you that I feel like I got my money's worth, moreso than a lot of my 3A 1/6 figs.
