>>8659797Just before it came out, a Battlestar Galactica spaceship toy with a rocket firing feature, which I believe was super high-powered compared to what would have been possible with a one inch spring in the Fett toy, shot a rocket into a young boy's throat, and he died from it. It was basically a freak accident, but parents were mad, so in order to not ruin their fast-developing cash cow, kenner removed the feature from Fett, and now urban legends abound about rocket Fetts being secretly released or prototypes falling into collector's hands. It is all a bit pointless. I remember as a kid growing up in the mid nineties that lots of toys had spring-loaded projectiles, and I never heard of them hurting anybody.
