But to use an example the rebor vanilla is great.
The initial releases of monster arts were perfect in my humble opinion (godzilla, space godzilla and mecha godzilla(?). They could pull of all the pose ability of the rubber suits from the film.
After that the line became obsessed with overwhelming engineering for articulation that was completely unnecessary, that and pumping out "concept" sculpts and repaints instead of nailing all of the various different monsters.
Anyway my point is that articulation CAN damage a good figure. The botm rex looks great but it is limited by the balance of a stand. My Mattel rex can stand on his own. Just an example.
