>>8666573>What if people want other characters besides Sonic?that's the thing. He's the star but I'd say for most fans it's about the ensemble. You want to at least fill out the cast up to Sonic 3 & Knuckles. And the ideal would be up to Sonic Adventure 2.
Can you help me hash this out? Because I've been thinking about this in regards to Nintendo characters, specifically Wario. I think it's just flat-out difficult to make a marketable articulated figure for squat cartoon characters like Wario, and too a similar extent most of the Sonic cast (despite their spindly legs and arms). Compare this to robots or humanoids that have a body structure that lends itself to intuitive joints.
