Of note:
-"The van's sculpted" - will be loaded up, has lights and sounds, will be a direct market deal (NECAstore)
-Mirage TMNT will be taking the place of Turtles in Time while that rests for a bit. Specialty market like TiT.
-Muck Man and Mondo may no longer be a 2-pack because they won't cost out. Will likely be split up as two separate releases
-The Disguise TMNT 4-pack should have new ankle articulation (hopefully rockers). The heads ARE the new 18" swappable style!
-Archie comics aren't part of the Nickelodeon TMNT deal they have, but they want to pursue it if they can.
-TMNT sales keep going up and up. They're reordering as much as they can, the normal expectation of "only the main four heroes will sell" at retail has been blown out of the water
-still trying with Tatsu's actor, covid making it hard
-Punk Frogs come with two heads each
-Ace Duck packed with new unnamed villain
-Wanting to do the lair, but the cartoon inconsistency is making it difficult to plan out

And just a reminder that starting with the Krang and Splinter/Baxter sets Target is handling the TMNT product directly. The reps aren't to put the stuff out themselves, Target will get the product, and their electronic guys are meant to stock it. That means the product is in their inventory now and WILL come up using the DPCIs (at least in store).

I'm just going off what I see here, but the chin and forehead look wrong to me compared to the picture the other guy showed, the neca head appears much more like generic man head structure with this guys eyes and mouth slapped on.

When this question comes, I recommend you ask yourself: Do you like Jason being a living being, or a supernatural zombie slasher?

If you want him to be alive, Part 3 or 4 are good choices. I prefer 4. If you like imposter Jason, part 5 is a great figure too, but if you like zombie Jason, wait for the part 7 figure that's coming out. Cause, it looks pretty incredible.

part 3 and 4 are about on par, but I lean towards 4.
But to be honest they're kind of outdated since the sculpts are just reused sculpts of Jasons from like 2012.

They're not bad by any means but I don't think they even hold a candle to the Part V Roy.

Part 5 Roy. Not really Jason, but by far their highest quality F13th ultimate. Double jointed elbows, face printing, and accessories that represent every kill in the movie. No other ultimate Jason can even touch Roy. All other ultimates feel outdated in comparison.

The Part 7 coming out looks like he might top Roy though, he's got the double jointed elbows, way more detail to his design and a bunch of accessories. Definitely my most anticipated figure at the moment.

I can't decide my favorite F13th movie though. Sometimes I'm in the mood to play it safe with part 4, sometimes I'm feeling contrarian and am defending Goes to Hell.

I'm actually hoping Part 7 will be the definitive figure of Jason. Part 7 is where I was introduced. I hope NECA does all of them after Part 7, including some of the comic adaptations. That's a bold move, defending Goes To Hell. However, the bravest of fans mention Freddy Vs. Jason in front of Kane Hodder at a con.

I respect Kane Hodder and all but the obsession with him being the one and only Jason always seemed stupid to me. He's Jason 7 movies in and for some of the least liked and most out there movies in the franchise. Its not like hm not being Jason in 1-6 severely detracts from those movies.

For the first film, Galoob had done some pretty ugly action figures. I had the Mickey and a friend had Edgar who was pretty cool.
Hasbro took care of MIB II and III with some insipid figures.

I get why it puts people off, but I feel like after having 8 movies that abide by the same formula, it's okay to take the F13th mythos and do something fucking wild with it. I love when films take crazy asks risks. I know risk doesn't mean it's good, but I feel like it paid off.
It said goodbye to the usual formula, while also acknowledging it. And it by far as the best/most memorable/likeable cast human characters which is rare for the series. And we got a cool supernatural story, even if it's such a huge departure from the Jason we're used to. Got my Alien 40th wave 3 in. Ash is great! Likeness is wonderful and he's a full new figure with the new hips. The new Kane head looks great too, it's nice that he comes with the facehuggered head and melted helmet too. The Big Chap is just the Ult with a foggier dome I think. He'll stay in the nice packaging since I'm good with the Ultimate.

Yeah, I really like the whole series. Ash was my most anticipated and he's great. He did need some prep work though.

I had to heat his ankle and elbows since the joints were stuck from being caked in white paint. His hip joints were WAY too tight, they're normal ball joints but they felt like tight ratchet joints so I put some dish soap on them. They're still tight but they don't feel like they'll break anymore.

Kane and Ash both have a right leg SLIGHTLY long than the left just like 90% of my NECA figures so and it's getting really annoying how their figures cannot get legs that are equal in height. Usually it's not the worst thing ever because I just pose my figures in a contrapposto stance, but with characters like Ash being an android I want him standing straight up. Same with characters like Jason and Michael Myers. It's just really annoying this is a consistent issue.

But overall, paint is great, the face printing is great too. I like the figures. Good figures, not perfect but good.

My Doc Brown came in from Walmart.com today! He's perfect. Just perfect. Figure is a little "stiff" to pose cause of the jacket, but the likenesses are spot on, good paint. He's got some fun paper accessories like the flux capacitor drawing, the letter from Marty, and blueprints of the mansion.

Love that they sculpted the rip in his pants leg. Lots of nice texture on the clothing on this figure.

Hands swap easy, had to use heat to pop the gawking head on, which is whatever. It swaps fine now. The goggles slip on under the face when you have it popped off. You just have to gently get the strap around the ears into the groove and around the sculpt of the back of the head under the hair. I used a toothpick to help push it along.

Hello there, anon who is on the fence about NECA and came to this thread looking to see if you should take the plunge:

Don't.

Seriously, don't do it. NECA has the worst quality control I have ever seen in a high end figure toy company. What is high end? Well, it means that it's a toy that is typically more expensive that standard companies that produce similar products. For example, NECA would be comparable to say, Hasbro. They both make figures that are similar in scale, with similar qualities in sculpt. However, NECA has far superior sculpting, but on the downside, the articulation takes a hit , and the QC is garbage. Oh, and they charge about $10 more than their equivalent, on average. They aren't the MOST expensive high end toy company, but they ARE the biggest waste of your money.

Now, don't let their product description fool you. Some NECA products will boast they have up to 30 points of articulation, possibly more. That's a lie. The figures are nowhere near that articulate. Oh sure, they POTENTIALLY have that much articulation, but good luck utilizing all of it, since there will be things on the figure (like armor or clothing pieces) that will get in the way. So yeah, most of your NECA figures are gonna either be standing stalk-still, like scarecrows, or with their knees slightly bent.

So what's all this about NECA's QC? Is it a meme? Is it blown out of proportion? No, it isn't . Even NECA's fucking supporters have recommended using a hairy dryer on certain NECA figures before trying to pose them. What other fucking toy line have you EVER had to do that with?

And why do they recommend that? Well, it's because the joints are so tight, that if you try to move it at all, to change the pose, your figure will likely break. And NECA supporters have a few excuses for this, like "Dude, just blowdry your figures for a few seconds, lol" or "You OBVIOUSLY hamhanded your toy"

These are just delusional excuses. The product is shit.

this part could definitely use some work though. "they say it has this much, but that's a lie, well actually they do have that much but you can't use it well". you should really focus on the fact that they don't have good articulation, rather than the total points of articulation

Marty's actually pretty solid. Christopher Lloyd has a far more "interesting" face that makes it easier to capture his likeness. Micheal J Fox doesn't. But even then, I think they did a good job getting his likeness there, it's just not as strong as Lloyd's.

I live in Melbourne and luckily there are tons of comic book shops there. Places that I've been to recently that carry NECA figures are Minotaur and Go Figure Collectables but most other places that stock up on contemporary merch would likely carry them too

My grabs from yesterday. Really enjoying Ghost Face, he'll make a fun figure to throw into the Halloween display. Toony Ace is great looking, though I have a quibble with the gator "stand" in that it only has one peg. And I think two would've more securely held Ace, otherwise he does have a habit of leaning with those tiny tiny feet. At least he can stand on his own. And TT Beetlejuice is just a cool looking figure. Wish they'd do an Ultimate.

I hope.

Toy Fair was canceled I believe, so I assume NECA will reveal some stuff, but then again the twitter account has been inactive since early November.
Toy Fair is more about getting big retailers to order merch from toy companies, so I wouldn't be surprised if reveals are going to come in small numbers this year since there is no toy fair. Any reveal would just be companies throwing scarps to us collectors.

Is that the best you were able to get him to hold the gun? That's about what I was able to do. It just doesn't hold very well. A slight bump will make the gun move out of position. There's a small panel on his left gauntlet that falls out easily but I just noticed it's an interchangeable piece. It doesn't seem to make much of a difference, is it just supposed to look like it lifts up? What's it for exactly? Also, which hands hold the disc best? I've managed to get them on one hand... but it looks awkward. It seems I can't get him to hold his items naturally.

As for which hand holds the disc best? It should be one of the interchangable ones where his fingers are kind of crooked down a little. I'll circle it...you'll just have to slide the fingers in there.

My problem is that it doesn't look like he holds his accessories naturally. It looks so stiff and unnatural. Maybe it's just me. Alpha's great, but he is top heavy, I use a stand on him as well just cause he is so big. I like that Broken Tusk a LOT. Those comics were part of what really got me into predators.

I do this, as well. I don't have a lot of space to work with so I pack stuff away and rotate. I love doing this because I'll pull out some toys I haven't messed with in some time and fall in love with them again.

I just got a 2nd Creepshow Creep since they just put out another batch, because although I liked my first one, one of his ankles was a little loose and I thought the reissue would have improvements if any.

I havent opened it yet but I can see the quality of the paint job on the new one is worse.

Yeah, so the new and old creeps both have their own positives and negatives.

My old one had loose ankles/tight knees, wire poking out of the hood, misprinted comic

My new one had worse paint but everything else was better.

So I took the my old creep, gave him the new creeps legs, gave him the new creeps cloak, and the new creeps comic. Now I got a good quality creep. The other one maybe I'll display in the box somewhere.

And I switched back my perfect creep to the old cloak. I didn't realize til later the reissue's cloak isn't stitched up far enough, exposing a lot of his chest, which some people might like but I thought it looked weird and not accurate to the show. I can atleast fix the wire thing on the old cloak.

It varies from bootleg to bootleg. But yes, most of the time there'll be a tell. Like the movie Turtle bootlegs are pretty poorly painted.

Just try and buy within your country, essentially. If you do buy online, make sure the seller isn't from China, or selling in the states but shipping from China. Make sure they have pictures of the *actual item* you're getting. If they're selling multiples of a rare or long sold out figure, it's probably bootlegs.

Did you push the arm further than the hose allows? Like, regardless of which one, it's pretty clear you can't just push it past the limits. If it's the one on the elbow, all you have to do is use the wrist swivel to take the pressure off the hose when you're bending the elbow.
