Hes solid, doesn't come apart at all, Adam Savage did a video pulling him apart and he had to saw and mill the fucker into 6 pieces to add articulation I think he'd survive a 5ft fall with no problem maybe a scuff, the hair looks good its realistic and you cant even ser the follicles which is crazy, its really just a statue so yeah build is solid

The thing i hate the most about him is that the head doesn't tilt down like it physically cant the way it was made so he's always looking slightly up which sucks for displaying him at eye level

Sculpt-wise it's good but there's some weird decisions made that're causing damage to the toy just by moving it. Like the way the elbow pads are affixed to the toy, and the knee pads stick out at odd angles. Just oddball design choices.

It's mostly the elbow and knee pads being attached the way they are. Not sure why they decided that when it would have made more sense to attach the kneepad to the shin armor like the old mold. Everything else is pretty good though I wish the shoulder pads were larger.

On top of the Anakin re-issue in 2019, they re-used the body for AOTC Anakin in 2020. So even within the last year they still thought it was good enough and didn't feel like making a new body that's more on-par with recent tooling.

Not him, but I don't think there is a perfect Stormtrooper. I own a lot, BS (Old version and new), SHF (A New Hope and Rogue One version) and I think they all have their pros and cons. Though, the SHF are in a league of their own. The Incinerator Trooper from Mando, is fucking close. That new mold is put to amazing use. It's touching Japanese import level.

It's a beautiful piece just be wary of the springlocks eventually wearing out or breaking, that seems to be a very common problem - it happened to mine. Although you could just glue them in if that happens.

There's nothing that's been announced regarding the kits for a long time now. It's either dead or got severely delayed because of covid and they didn't want to say anything yet. The last bit of anything regarding them was a few of the trooper kits getting reprinted in late 2019. Hopefully they do some though, would love a proper IG-11.

Prequels didn't sell jack shit, its merchandise was moved to landfills because nobody bought that. Sequel merch isn't doing as well as OT but it's sold far, far better than anything from the prequels could ever dream of selling.

The sequels were far, far worse. The Prequels were full of insipid crap because Lucas was surrounded by Yes-Men urging him on on his dumbest ideas (Jar Jar!, etc) but the ST never even had a plan from the beginning and actively attacked the fans as well as the legacy characters. I've ignored the prequels for years, but the Sequels made me actively abandon everything Disney does with the brand. Sequels are pure shit.

I watched Episodes 2 and 3 yesterday for the first time in over a decade and you know what? They are visually striking, at least. Vibrant colors, imaginative designs out the ass, that over-indulgent opening space battle over Coruscant is just...chef's kiss worthy!

If you are going OT Vader, I think the current BS versions are great. I have the A New Hope Version (40th anniversary) and love it. Vader really is a tall motherfucker compared to the other figures in the line

That being said, I think we are truly the only people (hardcore SW fans) who care about the differences between characters through out films, like Vader. It's not like the range is much different in the elbows, plus you get the advantage of butterfly joints in the new one. Yeah the knees might not have as much range but it's more than serviceable for kneeling poses and you can bring the legs forward more on the new mold so he can actually sit naturally. I'd rather have no pins anyway than a tiny bit of more range that doesn't really do much.

Bane finally arrived. He looks great, but he has trouble standing in a lot of poses and for some reason his leg boosters were packaged upside down. Still, he looks awesome and while the hat is a little finicky, it really does add a lot of character to him.

I own both. Most of the changes are lateral changes that reflect the suit changes. The lower body is identical. The head being easier to manipulate is the only major functional difference (the butterfly joints aren't useless but they aren't a gamechanger either; at most they make a basic two-handed grip a little easier to do). I own both because I'm a Vaderfag, but for most people it isn't necessary.

I'm kind of disappointed with the articulation on the Armorer. Her feet can't go less than 90 degrees upwards and it makes her hard to pose. Also her arms can barely move because of the fairly hard plastic on the cloak. And not an articulation issue but her tongs don't fit in her left hand like they are supposed to and the accessories themselves are poorly detailed and don't have any paint or wash on them at all. I will have to mess around with her a lot to get a better pose.

Here's the Armorer's ass. Gideon's articulation is excellent and the detail on his face and hands really stands out to me as being exceptional. They both have all the accoutrements you would expect of recent TVC with ankle rockers and the thigh cut system on the legs. Gideon's head is a singe ball peg and the Armorer's is a barbell. They both have the issue with their feet not going upwards but it's not quite as bad on Gideon. It's worsened by how uneven my shelf is and how topheavy the Armorer herself is.

Now I did find 2 whole sets of the repack wave last week.

Maul and Wicket have double hinged hips, Obi & Anakin have just swivel hips.

Anakin has both swivel and up down wrists.

Anakin doesn't have a peg on his saber or a belt hole, while Maul and Obi-Wan do.

I don't like the plastic hood for Maul, since it rubs the paint off his horns.

I love that they included Wicket's season 2 animated outfit. They didn't need to do that, but did so anyways.

About the only complaint I have for Wicket is that they didn't sculpt his arms in a way that he can hold his spear with 2 hands. It's not from the lack of articulation; they crammed in as much as they could in such a tiny guy without breaking up the sculpt too badly.

Wet it a bit and sculpt it how you want it to sit and then let it air dry. I had to do it with Jedi Knight Luke's cloak the other day and it worked like a charm.

I also missed out on the bike the first time as well as the model kit version. But I can say I am glad I got it this time. I'm going to do some repainting to it later since it is in some need of better weathering on the underside.
