I don't know about "dwarf" but Good Morning Cybertron from a quick search has the 3rd largest number of viewers in the english speaking Transformers Podcast world (4th if you count some Spanish show)

And honestly you ain't going to be bigger then Protoman (Transformers Slag Podcast) and his crazy knowledge and Hasbro connections and Brian (RFC Radio Free Cybertron) that has been doing this for almost 20 years.

He says when 90% of the figures he reviews were sent to him from friends. At best, he's just using them to mooch material for, at worst he's not as well off he pretends and those FlameToys figures he has are eating up his entire toy budget, if not going beyond it. They may have pitched the designs but were told to shelve it. Hell the third part of WFC wasn’t originally going to have beasts until they managed to convince management. I wouldn’t be surprised that if Kingdom was rejected, the designers would keep the designs until they could use them in the future

I think vangelus is basically done collecting and he's just sticking around for the few fans he has left. Which is honestly respectable. He had 10+ years of getting toys every week and that's bound to burn anyone out. The toy review lifestyle just isn't bound to last unless you have a massive house or are ready to constantly resell monthly to make room for the waves of toys constantly coming out. Plus as a TF reviewer I get the feeling that the scene shifted from what Vangelus liked in a figure from both 3P and official. He seemed to prefer stylized, playable figures and 3P went for a more collectible , no-play style overall and the official line went for more straight adaptations of the media. I can see him liking 3P Legends like Iron Factory but even those only have a limited amount of releases where as stuff like Magic Square and New Age overshadowed them.

What happened was vange1us never grow with the times. He is a known lazy person and stuff reviewed like it was 2010. Long story short. Vangelus would convince his mother to take a trip together thinking it was a mother/son trip and she would pay the flights and hotels, then on arrival he would leave abandon her the whole weekend while he was actually at a convention in that same location.

She would be sitting alone at the hotel bar of whatever convention they went too. What a terrible son and human being. Even people who did the podcast with he thought it was terrible and one of the many reasons they are no longer on his dead podcast

Reviewers like Jobby, Vangelus, Emgo and the rest that still operate with current releases of anything have viewer bases that are mostly made up of children or pre-teens that live the hobby vicariously through their videos because they can't afford it. Any adult that actively watches toy reviewers just to know what their opinion on the latest release of a line is, are just there to confirm their biases towards their purchases.

Thats the thing about reviewers, the best ones are the ones who have passion for the toy as is and thus will probably already like it or excuse the flaws, Toy reviews aren't like appliance or even video game reviews, there's only so many options out there and if you want it you want it and will probably be ok with the flaws. those who fall into the trap of reviewing everything even stuff they don't really like fall into the trap of just liking everything or being pessimistic and halfheartedly reviewing.

Focus on the figure. No intro, no shilling, no packaging shots, no drawn out "we're taking a look at [insert name] from [insert company]'s [insert line]", don't talk about the property unless it's directly related to the toy in some way, don't do a half assed articulation breakdown that doesn't show full range of motion. Get familiar with the figure and give your thoughts on how good you think it is, especially in relation to similar shit that viewers might already have.
