I tend to believe that Mattel's loss of the majority of the DC License(they retained the rights to make some toddler stuff) had something to do with them inking a deal to either secure back some of their rights or obtain some sort of exclusivity deal regarding the rights(perhaps they pay a certain fee to Universal, like Kenner used to pay a fee to Lucasfilm for Star Wars). I don't think Mattel would just willingly let go of the DC license unless there was more to it, and Warner Bros certainly wouldn't just let it go to some literal whos like McFarlane and Spin Master.

Anonymous
>>8677208 The Super7 vintage line is really nice for the price but it seems like it's already being supplanted by Origins. Evil-Lyn is getting a new standard variant in Wave 5 that is most likely a Filmation-style repaint, which was the entire point of Super7's vintage figures. So if you really want to round out your 5.5" collection with unproduced figures like Shadow Weaver and Evilseed, go for it. If not, just wait out for the new reveals later this year and decide for yourself. Super7 made TONS of vintage figures it seems and they're likely not going out of stock for a while, so you have lots of time to decide.

Quoted By:
>>8682461 Oh that's interesting. But they also told us that the first 8 figures would be Revelation, so it'd be a bit odd if that weren't true, especially that the main 2, He-Man and Skeletor, wouldn't be based on the show's designs. Also 'Classic' doesn't necessarily mean 'Classics', though if the new figures are as articulated as they said they'd be, Classics figures would look a decade old by comparison (which they are technically, but still). Either way, should be interesting and I'm definitely ready to hear more about the line.

Mattel needs to drop a mini panel or do some reveals soon. Now with May Toy Fair outright completely canceled and a big Comic Con for March pushed to Dec, need to drop some info on us.
