The issues are all terminal. I've virtually quit, cut back to almost nothing. Fuck it. It's a dying market anyway.
I was hoping that given enough time, maybe with increased pressure from COVID, that ordering and preordering online would be easier, but nope. I just want to be guaranteed a spot without having to hunt and stalk and deal with scalpers or middlemen.
It's probably just worse being in Canada, where there's no guarantee that they'll even tell you in advance whether you'll get certain exclusives or whether you should pay a premiums to import it through a middleman. are we really not going to get Thrust??
At least overseas shipping is starting to go back to normal.
and I'm sure the Biden administration will fix USPS foreign shipping prices and other countries will lower theirs in response. I really need to start selling to Americans.
>>8686273The shipping prices across the sea are painful. I think something like $40 per set. Worth it for some, but not others.
HINDSIGHT IS 20/20! One day they'll make even better versions, just like how they made all of Classics redundant.
If I wasn't a poorfag I would have played it safe and grabbed everything. Domestically the odds probably cancel out, but imported versions seem to be safer, at least in the market they were imported into. I can't even say I regret paying for Takara figures who's market value stagnated.
Being a CONSOOMER is a chump game though. I tallied up all the stuff I was interested in that I had missed out on recently and so many 3rd party figures that are like $100-200 or gestalt sets of even higher, in addition to all the mainline and official exclusives, that I'm honestly thinking I shouldn't return.
... the saddest thing is that when I moved ~8 years ago, I packed everything up and never opened it again. Everything I bought since then just stays in a box, never seen again.
