After months local mall got hot wheels, old case of course, but got pic related. Also there were a lot of speedtails and other nice models but what got niggers attention was only the mercedes a class (4 out of a total 5 blisters opened).

Beautiful Ferrari trio anon. These unnamed ones were my whole childhood. Hot Wheels were not sold in my country until like 2001 or 2002 and Matchboxes were very rare and expensive. Here's my 1980s-1990s that survived.

There were basically 3 kinds. Unnamed with nice casting and interior. I love white coupe and blue Porsche seems to be very detailed too. BMW is okay and last supercar too.

I think I preferred the unnamed ones even though I had a mountain of hotwheels. The plastic bases let the suspension squish, the wheels weren't as loud and it didn't matter if I got them full of sand because they were way cheaper.

Long time collector for the first 15 years of my life, then lost interest for five years before returning last year. So amazed with how much variety there has been from all the brands the past five years. Also, Matchbox is my personal favorite brand, out here changing the game since the mid 00s.

also hot take: Real riders/rubber wheels suck for playability, so I'm not too big a fan but I understand the point of them being more so for collectors purposes

i actually found that that car and i was so happy but once i opened it the car turned out to be defective from the factory. i opened the car in hopes to fix it but only had it worse because after i put it back together the car was pulling to one side. i dumbass did not know i could file a warranty claim with mattel for a replacement.

What do you want and what's your budget? You can spent less than a dollar per car up to $50+. You can tell if something is high quality generally just by inspecting it for yourself.

Auto World, M2, Greenlight, premium Hot Wheels are right in the $5-7 price range and are pretty close to true 1/64. AW is the most autistic of the brands, M2 tends to be around 1/62ish, and Hot Wheels can be hit or miss in casting quality. Watch out for GL's shitty quality control but they all have some good models.

To me, yes and yes. I overslept last year and wasn't able to try for it but I was in it for the past couple years. The membership cars are always pretty cool although they tank the most in value. I plan on trying to get in when it starts up in March. The site is ass, 20 years and they still don't know how to keep it from crashing.

So how does /dcg/ store their cars? These days I buy Plano tackleboxes from walmart and some 3x4 ziplock bags and store cars that way. Two of these is about the size of one Jammer and combined they can hold almost 90 cars.

I started a spreadsheet around 700 to 800 cars as well. I was starting to buy duplicates unintentionally. I'm at over 2600 cataloged cars now, and there's no way I could keep up with them without it. Very much worth the effort.

Sterilite desk organizers. Thing holds over 30 cars for each drawer, totaling around 90-100 cars inside. Downside is the lack of actual surface texture (then again it was made for papers & supplies). Dpn't worry about that, I have a couple Hot Wheels erasers to hold the unfilled drawers together.

Yeah, too bad mine had a little ding on the track and hit one of the weights holding it down and had a bit of paint chip away at the right front edge

It's not really noticeable though, but still, it's no longer pristine, but I guess that is the danger in racing them

Tuner - after removing afwul white paint there's nice metallic underneath.

Red/Black painted car - it seems to be white but I still can not get it 100% clean.

Red classic - needs a lot of work on front and back. I have to sand and polish windows as they are not really transparent anymore.

Green Dodge - it's absolute wreck. Hood is missing original green coat. I don't know how to work it out. Not sure if I will be able to restore windows anyhow.

Appears to be a Bburago 1/43 judging by the overall construction. It goes for $30ish on ebay aside from the one retard asking $100 for it. For 1/64 Hot Wheels Teslas are dogshit except for the Roadster and 3, Matchbox has a good Model S and X (model x is hellishly expensive for some reason). VIP Scale makes a beautiful Model S in 64 but it costs $60+.

I was at Walmart last night to check if the B case of 2021 Matchbox came out yet since I saw a few users over on the Diecast General forums found it. Sadly only A case still, BUT there were 1 case of B Case and 3 D Case Hot Wheels! No Mazda Super but it looked like someone looked through it since a couple cars were missing.

For some fucking reason, and I honestly don't know why, this model is strangely popular with sick fucks that destroy them/have them destroyed, and it looks like you have added to this pile.

A friend's house had a badly molested example on a shelf (think pieces missing, bent chassis etc.) when I was growing up, and around a year ago I got recommended that retard on YT who sets 1:18s on fire and in the relateds was another one who shot at it with a pellet gun. There was also this creep in an IRC I used to be a part of who kept linking us fetish clips in the middle of otherwise normal discussions, and at least a couple of them had this specific casting get destroyed.

Again, no idea why, though I wouldn't delve too deep. The BBurago EB110 just has a really high deliberate attrition rate. It's like it subliminally entices the owner to break it apart.

Greenlight makes some nice ones but the plain modern ones can be hard to get. Ford Escape, Explorer, Fusion, Fiesta, Focus, Taurus, Honda Civic SI, some Dodge and Chrysler. Tomica also has lots of good boring cars but they're all Japanese.
