>>8733262such a great pic! look at all the details and how unique they are - I dont mean to rag on the newer sculpts (especially the 30th and POC lines), but a lot of Hasbros later sculpts reused parts a lot and thus looked very similar. I like them, but the classic figures will always have the most character, imo.
if Im going to mention a few more Joes I loved using...
shipwreck. not even a great figure lol, but his character in the cartoon made him a must have. loved using the sarcastic sailor as often as I could, even if it annoyed my brother
torch and buzzer. pretty much the meatshields and cannon fodder to be watchmen. they look tough, were totally 80s, and seemed like stupid people. easily the most punchable figures since duke v1 and the twins
knawgahyde. I think hes unbelievably ripped for someone who doesnt need to be. on top of that, his boar is almost useless. I still liked the guy a lot and he was a scout for Cobra a lot of times. that rifle? one of my favorites, it looks like a special custom job that was meant to put down anything the moves
claymore from special missions brazil. what a crazy, weird figure to find. I had NO IDEA toys r us had exclusives or anything like that. one day on the way back from disneyland (what a memory) we stopped by the toys r us in los angeles. I never got to see one b4 and it was MASSIVE. I could spend hours staring at everything lol. anyways we saw the brazil mission pack and I was like wtf? all these guys I didnt have, in one pack? I wanted mainframe and leatherneck, just wasnt a fan of the colors. still got them! and claymore was like if recondo was south american and a native to his jungle. loved the uzi too.
falcon. never had flint back in the day, so getting falcon to me, was like getting a cooler flint. better camo, less of an asshole look on his face, the backpack was sweet, and the shotgun was awesome. add to that when I play as him I get to imitate don johnson, the guy was a real favorite of mine.
