-Dust proofing it -$10-$13. I use two weatherstrip seals on the front glass. 3/8" wide x 5/16" thick x 20' medium gap and 3/8 inch Wide x 3/16 inch thick x 17 ft
-extra shelf brackets $15 on etsy
-extra shelves $15-25 each. You can get this stuff cut local too or even get acrylic cut online. Sometimes ikea has extra shelves from returns you can snag if you ask. I've never gotten a chance to ask but might be worth
trying.It seems expensive but risers are even more expensive. With extra shelves you cut down on riser costs significantly.
-leds $15 and up.Can even buy premade kits so ymmv.
So $80 dollars for something dust proof'd. $130 give or take if you want two extra shelves added.$150-$170 if you want some leds and everything above.
tl;dr for their value they can;t be beat. If you are not a lazy fuck you can dust proof them, add more shelves, add lighting.I think these work best for 1/12 ,1/6,1/7 and 1/8 scale shit when you mod them.
With that said I think detolfs suck for big ass scale stuff. Not only do you have weight limits on each shelf (13 pounds) you can only fit at best one or two on each shelf. And some of these statues weights push that limit just with one.
