The second point is that these kind of situations involve the heroes being in a state of humiliation, tied up, or powerless. Exerting complete dominance is attractive, especially among those who are abused in family or school (nearly every Deviantart user), feels as if it's their turn to make others miserable.
And the thing is that even if the one getting slimed is a man, it doesn't seem to relate to homosexuality, but rather attraction to the situation. I watched Spider-man get tied up and made me feel kinda funny (but not really sexually). So then I would grab wires and tie up my female toys and then it felt funnier.
